When does blizzard learn?

The following scenario happens every single expansion launch :

• Outlaw Rogue performs well in the first heroic week of the raid, because baseline damage is high (we suck at scaling with secondaries.)

• Blizzard overnerfs us thinking we outperform too much, this time around even harder because we basically had no tierset & they needed to put more power into it.

• Week 2/3 of the raid, with more ilvl - already getting outscaled by every other spec in the game - especially the ones with strong 4 pieces.

• Blizzard not doing anything about it because we were “OP” first heroic week & leaving the spec in the dirt for the rest of the season.

Every. Single. Expansion launch.

I dont know if its an ego thing from the balancing team. where… they feel stupid for having to buff something that they just nerfed 1-2 weeks ago or…?

Its literally the reverse treatment of firemage - sucks first heroic week, gets buffed to be more aligned with other specs → scales well, can be op the entire season.

Why does the balancing team not have any insight on how specs scale with ilvl or tiersets… outlaw would have naturally drop to a mid tier spec without any nerfs whatsoever the following weeks.

I dont get it. Every. Single. Time.

Probably. It would show that they’re incompetent and clueless if they did.

As if it’s not already blitheringly obvious for everyone to see.

That is assuming there is a balance team. I always assumed that task was allocated to a bunch of chimpanzees in propeller hats bashing their keyboards randomly.
