It’s usually pretty quickly after you properly log out of your character.
However lately I’ve noticed WoW has been super weird with showing character transmogs, even on the log in page.
So many times I’ve logged in, changed my tmog, logged out and logged in again to see my character in the old tmog until I log back in again.
Today I saw my enh shaman (respecced last night) still holding the Elemental shaman weapon and shield.
So if the game is that out of sync the armory is probably out of sync too.

Ah, it’s a caching issue.
Open your armory page and Ctrl + F5 instead of just a regular refresh. I still saw your red warfront set prior to refreshing the cache.
You’ll want to do the same for the forums. Ctrl + F5.
I assume Ctrl + F5 works in your browser. I’m on chrome.
