When does your Wrath Classic Journey end?

When does Wrath Classic end for you? When will you quit playing Wrath?

Never? Will you farm ICC forever?
After you get BIS for your main (and alts)?
Right after you kill Lich King on heroic?
After you kill Lich King on normal?

Probably in Mists of Pandaria Classic if I will kill Garrosh Hellscream in LFR Flex Normal Heroic.

That entirely depends on what the future holds.

If it’s announced that Cataclysm will be rolled out and that all players MUST ‘upgrade’ to it, no exceptions, no possibility of staying on WotLK then my journey ends there, I quit my sub and never look back.

If I get to keep on playing with the announcement of WotLK-era servers then I’ll happily keep on playing forever. I don’t give a damn about the death of the lich king. The ‘journey ends’ for me when I get tired of an alt and need a fresh start.

If Blizzard had a dollar for every time a player said that they wouldn’t need to make any games.

Originally I thought I’d quit after killing LK25hm, but now I am sort of intrigued by cata, if they even make it. I suspect the changes it brings may resonate much better with boomer gamer dad I am now than they did to a collage age me back then. So now I’m thinking I’ll stick around to see how I like it while levelling some alts in RDF (freaking finally!)

Yes except those people lied and I do not. I quit after original Cataclysm and will do the same this time around.

mine will only start in autumn and winter when i will level up all classes to max level via dungeon finder

im in noo hurry since S3 dungeons in retail look like absolute garbage comp so i will spend my time in classic wolk

When I kill Argus in mythic difficulty in Classic Legion.

Right now the plan is to stop after killing 25man HC Lich King. If I have game time left over I might spend it on hardcore only, if not then that’s it.

Depends on my dear guildmates. If they quit - I quit after beating LK

If you still are not bored with the game yet then Cata is pretty cool. They did make a lot of changes to make the game simpler much to my annoyance back then, because you just see the game slide into the wrong direction untill you finally decide its been enough.

But that’s just emotion, on a whole Cata offers quite a lot, yet this time around nothing, you could have more approaches to how you play your class, but this time (compared to about 15 years ago) it’s meta time and everybody will be playing the same spec and wanting the same BiS list.

Yes. Even when I get full BiS I will still raid, helping new players to get gear and because I like raiding in Wotlk. But only if they keep Wotlk era.

Not sure when (probably after LK kill, normal is enough and some fun in the last season of PVP). But I know exactly where. There is some empty cave where I parked my hunter a long time ago when I stopped (so many years passed, it is incredible), so now he will have a companion.

Mine ended in S1, when I realized that there will be no wpvp here and there will still be bots everywhere. And blizzard doing nothing against them.
Which is a bit sad since I only played vanilla and tbc classic because I was waiting for WOTLK.
I had/have a subscription because I also played with dragonflight, but it is not certain that it will remain so after the successful spoiling of S2.
I only went to classic WOTLK for zul gurub farming, maybe there were 1-2 IDs when I missed it, but most of the time i did it and still 0 mounts xDD.

I’m here till the end of wotlk, if Cata comes instead of Classic/Wrath+ I’m gone. It’s where I originally quit.

It ain’t ending.

I will not farm ICC forever, i am not a fan of that raid at all. I will play it until i am not having fun anymore. I will not play Cataclysm if it comes. If that’s where the Wrath servers are going my time with Blizzard ends there.

I quit for final on retail 1 week before BFA and did not return until Classic came out. I quit in Cata the first time and never played an entire expansion until Legion, i tested them like one phase and then gave up again, but Legion i enjoyed again and played the entire thing more or less. Have not touched Retail since Legion and i will not touch retail again. If Legion Classic comes i might play that unless i am too old for it by then (i am above 40 now).
Cataclysm, Pandaria and Warlords do not interest me at all. And nothing after Legion have even touched my care-o-meter even a little.

I’m not sure. I recently returned to wrath to finish my classic trilogy since I’ve been here from the start. I’m defo gonna try to clear ICC in a decent guild but after that I’m not sure.
If cata comes I might play it but that kinda depends on the changes.

I’m curious how cata will feel though.

It will feel as it did first time around I guess. For me it felt stale, shallow as a puddle, dumbed down, ultra-lighthearted, full of cringeworthy pop culture references and outdated memes and considerably smaller in scope and scale - like they had shrunk the world, removed all the mystery and adventure and repackaged it in day-glo Kinder wrapping.

But I guess from the perspective of the GOGOGOGO/BIS/Meta/Parsing/speedrunning/min-maxing/‘end game is the only game’ people it will be fantastic as it means more raids for them to blitz their way through.
