Are we talking few weeks or few months?
Probably in June.
I reckon end of March - Mid April. But there is no date yet.
I usually go by the Affix Rotation as they usually do it twice. Since it was a 10 week Rotation, that would make the season 20 weeks.
But we’ll see.
hopefully its in july
June is well into Summer.
Blizzard said it would be spring.
Something like that. It’s hard to place the dates differently if you assume 6-8 weeks of PTR for a patch, which is normal.
well going by the planner

i would say may ish
Hopefully not for a while, I just got my heroic raz bow and want to get some use outta it. >.>
I would still place it earlier than June. May at the very latest.
Going by doubling the Affix rotation, which it normal for previous season. This is a 10 week cycle rather than a 12 week one in Shadowlands.
That puts us at the last week of the season being 26th April, with Patch falling 3rd May.
Seems most likely. I think they said that would be 3 raid tiers again. So likely to be June unless the next exp is coming much faster.
Yeah, if you’re super optimistic and believe Blizzard to be quick with PTRs, then you can move the months back by one, so March/May/July/September/November. But that’s about as much flexibility as the schedule offers.
I think June is the most likely as well. Early/Mid. Much probably depends on the size and scope of the new raid and zone.
Hi!
Maybe. Though last tier tends to last for freaking ever.
10.1 coming out only about a month after 10.0.7 seems like a waste. Especially since both are effectively introducing new zones.*
*Yes i know the Forbidden Reach is technically not new. But it is unused.
consideing they are planing the 10.0.7 rings as filler content till next season its months away .
they rushed expansion launch by half of year so they are so behind on 10.1 content .
Hi you! Why they do the 10.0.5 but not 10.0.1? Why the third number has to be half? The second number is 10.1.0 it is not 10.5.0. my QuestLoni
Blizzard has a system for patches.
x.x.5 means it’s a small systems or content patch, focusing on updates, changes, and minor content additions.
x.x.0 means it’s a major content patch, focusing on large gameplay updates and new seasons.
The reason why you typically don’t see a patch 10.0.2 is because it only exists internally at Blizzard and they roll it together with other internal patches that get combined and turned into patch 10.0.5.
I have a more optimistic timings in mind. They said they wanted to redo a season like SL S4 Best-of, but i dont see them doing again 2 major patches again after SL, so i think that means we will probably get 5 seasons, the last would be shorter than the 4 others.
S1: Nov 2022 - Start of May 2023
S2: May 2023 - End of Sept 2023
S3: Sept 2023 - Feb 2024
S4: Feb 2024 - July 2024
S5 Best-of: July 2024 - Early Oct 2024
It makes pretty much 5 months long seasons, which is their goal as said in an interview tied to 9.2.5 or the expac reveal where the dev was critical about the too long seasons of SL, saying it should normally be about 5, max 6 month long.
They probably have something big coming for the 20th anniversary, which is why i think they’ll want to have the expansion launched one month prior the Blizzcon 2024, so the hype is at it’s peek when they’ll announce it. It’s the best timing they Have to get players coming back and they would be stupid missing it.
Plus, this timing allow to have the Blizzcon 2023 to be able to reveal the Next expansion as it should be with having only 10.3 to come after the announcement instead of 2 major patches.
