When someone quits why does I lose points

Happened 3 times last 2 days.

I get the 0 rating player/awful on my team 3 times in a row, we lose all 3, and then he quits. I lose pnts.

Surely in a leave situation only the leaver should lose pnts and others lose 0?

I hate it when this happens.

Until a few months ago, nobody would neither win/nor lose points when somebody leaves. However, many people complained that they had 5 wins and somebody left heading into the 6th game to troll them. Therefore, blizzard made it so if somebody leaves, scores are calculated based on the games that were finished so far, which means that somebody will win, and somebody will lose

And it’s the worst when you had 3 games with the loser, and you were thinking “ok, I win the next 3 against them”, and then they leave. Very unfair indeed

i have mentioned this for months,

LEAVERS need account wide punishment. all of their alts/mains should lose MMR and CR

My first 3 rounds I had a Bm who literally just walked into the enemies, would go opposite side of walls to everyone else by himself.

Of course we lose 3 in a row, jesus himself couldn’t save that guy (he was 0 rating), then he leaves!!!

The reason for 3 leavers in 2 days could be a solo shuffle bug - happened to me a couple of time, randomly get kicked from solo shuffle which of course ends the game for others. Hoping this gets hot fixed soon.

Yes. I predicted it and provided solution more than year ago.

Solo Shuffle Update - 6 January

This needs to be calculated as if leaver lost every single round and then scale down to how many matches were done. Explanation: Let's say that if I as a healer lost 3 rounds with a player, he leaves, then calculate it as if I had 3-3 and then scale it down (I didn't do 6 matches) to 3/6 (= half) rating gain. If it's done in a dumb way (you played 3 rounds so let's see your winrate) then people will lose rating just because they were unfortunate enough to be in party with leaver (usually lea…
