Should I always cast it? Even while leveling where mobs die pretty fast?
You don’t need it if you are solo since you already have WF weapon…
I got told that wf totem adds additional white hits when placed, so generally I always place it even when leveling. So wf totem doesn´t work for the shaman itself?
AFAIK WF totem doesn’t stack with WF weapon, unless it was changed.
I do read split comments, even on wowhead some people say that after testing it shows that it works for the shaman, others state that it doesn´t work. I´m also new to shaman so not sure as well there, but for now I just placed it also to get into the habit of placing it first for raiding
It’s not the same effect at all, they should stack.
Just get into a habit of placing it before any fight whether it works or not, it doesn’t hurt. Use a WA as well to help you remember. It’ll be second nature in group content and It’ll be much easier when and if you go Doom Winds as a legendary.
Windfury totem and Windfury weapon do stack and i drop totem in every fight, even in open world, it works pretty good even tho it is 20% chance.
