It won’t be fixed because;
- Its a shuffle system,
- Its a 3v3.
These two fundemental properties of solo shuffle will make sure shuffle que times to get only worse in time. There is no proper solution you can apply without creating some other issue.
I dont get what other issues will appear when you start healing
my last ss to cap vault were watch uh train healers when there was 0-6 fire on lobby but he doesnt see it unless someone tells it to him. not that he even used half of his spellbook. its a shuffle, theres always going to be problems if you have to play with people like this. im amazed the ques are not longer, the mode is absolute abomination.
The anxiety, pressure and stress, unfortunately.
Healers tend to get the butt end of things. When someone dies or the team loses, who do they blame? Themselves, because they blindly ran into an enemy’s AOE? No, the healer for not healing enough. And its painful to see.
Non-healing players seem to sometimes forget that the best way to recover damage is to not receive damage. Dodge! Use absorb abilities or abilities that can heal, like a Warrior’s Impending Victory or Enraged Regeneration.
At least, that’s what I try to do.
Unless something does get fixed, we’ll gonna keep having this Shuffle Healer Strike indefinably.
Not to mention you’ll also need to take the extra time to PVP gear them up as well and rank them up also. That’s why, with all due respect, I’m likely going to stay as a Warrior for this season. I’ve worked hard to get where I am this season, I can’t take the stress and time to PVP up another player.

If a game is forcing you to play a certain role, then that aspect of the game is pretty much dead.
Playing a healer is not a solution.
When they accept solo shuffle was a mistake and close its doors again, forever.
Because of the rating system theres no reason to play healers even for those who traditionally enjoy it. Why play healer only to end up in lower rating than you would if you just rerolled dps?

Overall how i´d fix it would be by first substantially increase mmr n then rework the whole damn mmr system to stop the game from going inactive in the start of every new season. New season should be when the activity is at its absolute peak.
Put healers n dps in the same MMR category so they gain rating in an identical fashion.
Make the game format 2 healers, 2 casters, 2 melees per lobby to reduce the amont of extremely onesided lobbies.
Beyond that i´d also try out the format of making shuffle just one round per lobby and in return reduce dampening to be in line with regular 3v3.
Prune CC across the board. I would stop with the mumbo jumbo of seperated DR´s to begin with. I would put ALL CC in 3 categories.
Hard CC, the kind that doesnt break from damage, stuns, coil etc. Soft CC that does break from damage such as fear, blind etc and then finally the last category being movement imparing effects such as slows. All forms of CC would share DR with every single form of CC within its category. Fear will share DR with blind, Stun with coil etc with the only exception being slows that works the way they work currently.

I had a warlock just standing in the middle of the arena just tanking all the damage go “HOW DID YOU GO OOM SO FAST?”
Well duh, maybe you should check the healing done. Enemy healer is sitting at a comfortable double digit hps and I’m at triple digits until I went oom , I more than tripled his healing because you were just tanking everything, stupid warlock. I ended at 17 million healing, the other healer had 4 million. WHY DO I GO OOM SO FAST I WONDER.
Said warlock went 1-5, everyone just tunneled him every round. I managed to squeeze one win with him but it wasn’t thanks to him but a DH that killed someone just as I went oom from the warlock being dumb. The warlock barely did more damage than us healers. Most deadweight DPS I’ve met in shuffle.
Accept your fate then.
There is huge disincentives for playing healer. Those needs to be fixed.
The fix is to penalize the DPS that don’t press their cooldowns and that thinks they should fight on top of their healer or make us not lose rating due to those people.
I just played a shuffle where a rogue has: Vanish, cloak and evasion ready.
He pressed neither before he dies. He almost died to the moonkin when he duelled him.
Then I get the moonkin that kites the melee on top of me every round he’s on my team. STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM ME.
Both should be heavily penalized or I shouldn’t lose rating due to them. There’s absolutely no reason for a moonkin to be standing on top of me.
If people played this bad in PVE I would just leave the group instantly.
Also, almost all retri paladins ought to be banned for throwing. I see almost every retri paladin specced into sanctuary but they NEVER USE IT. It’s off CD the whole shuffle.
You forgot and every DH that revert himself but not the healer when is in CC
People still expect Blizzard to solve it? It’s been one year since Blizzard said they were thinking of ways to incentivize healers, and it’s been complete silence ever since. It’s very clear that Blizzard has given up on solo shuffle. They probably like the long queues because it increases engagement metrics.
