After seeing Valeera and Lor’themar with the new Bloodelf model texture I am confused why Blizzard hasn’t done the rework for Lady Liadrin yet. She is by fa the most popular bloodelf character and the one with the most screentime overall(from those that are still alive). What are the criteria for Blizzard to hand out new, cool model updates for some characters while other stay with random player models all the time? Somebody explain please.

Only racial leaders and bosses gets a new model.
Sorry, but she ain’t nearly important enough to get one.
Yeah and she’s basicly everything that is wrong with the current story of the blood elves pressed into one character.

Valera got it because the model was updated in hots. They just copied it. Same with Tyrande, Anduin, so on.
Rokhan deserves it more since he is not only the racial leader but also the only big DS figure left.
You just got Nee fancy model for LTT. But does any secondary leaders of any race received fancy model?

Valeera. Nathanos. Maiev. Calia even before she’s official of anything. Derek and Tandred. Since Jaina is the leader of the nation.
Just some examples. Liadrin had to wait since TBC. Rokhan wasn’t de facto leader until at least legion.

Liadrin was not a racial leader. And my point still stands. Rokhan is WC3 vharacter, he was one of the main heroes in this x-pac, and the only relevant Darkspear left.
Liardrin can wait, especially when she was given new fancy mog recently.

He’s not the leader yet, and unless there is a lot of new upcoming stuff including him, he’ll be waiting a while.
It took until Legion for Genn to get a unique model.

He becomes a leader in 8.3. But that is beside a point, he was a leader in BfA in anything but title.
I’m not saying that I expect him to get new model next Tuesday but I’m stressing out why he is bigger prio than another char.
All in all Blizz will update them whenever they feel like it. And usually models are given because in-game cinematic is meant to feature said char.

If he’s not relevant to the upcoming story he’s unlikely to get a new model.
Remember that Gallywix had a normal goblin model for years and only just now got a new model because he’s playing parts in the story.

Does one week make any difference? Patch 8.3 is about to be released.
Yes I know, but we were arguing about priority of one char getting model over another. Not the overal policy of Blizzard making new models.
I know and I made the point that he is not priority if there is no upcoming story requiring him.
Then I listed other character who went years because they had no story priority.

But Rokhan was a key player in Nazmir, the Stormwind extraction scenario and parts of the War Campaign/Insurrections. He has been relevant to the story already and it’s beyond me why Valeera was updated before him.
Or Shandris.

Or Shaw.
And others.

I guess criteria is that they are important and they are going to be in the game much longer, playing crucial roles. I don’t think Lady Liadrin is all of that.
Yep, lady Shandris Feathermoon must have a better model. She is a general of an army, but dressed like a lone wolf rogue…

Tbh they recently updated Tyrande and Malfurion again. I guess more unique gear would do the trick.

Liadrin is like that one player you see who doesn’t use transmog and has never been to a barbers. That’s the only logical explanation for her tabard/armour combo.
