When will resilience be a thing again?

A stat just for PvP so that people who don’t want to PvP don’t have to PvP, and people who want to PvP would obtain a higher advantage for their own work, like an MMORPG should function.

Resilience wasn’t perfect but a pvp-only stat should still be a thing to fully prevent one-shot scenarios.

It wasn’t perfect but it was close enough.
Highly doubt we’ll see it again though since Blizzard rarerly bring back stuff they’ve once decided to remove, even if it was a mistake.

Agreed. And while at it, bring back tier sets for raids, with the bonuses only working in raid. Thus, everyone is busy doing their own thing. Would is suck for those who want to do both? Not really, with PvP vendors and an increased drop rate it would be nearly perfect. Raiders don’t have to spam M+ to gear because tier sets are better, thus they can increase back the ilvl for M+ as well and/or adding some unique stats to M+ gears. I mentioned before the idea of M+ enchantments, giving M+ only affixes like decreasing mob % need to finish the run, or reduced time penality over death, ect… These barely need any tuning and won’t mess with class balance.

Resilience for PvP, Tier sest for Raid, Enchantments for M+, everyone is happy.

I hope that never returns.

TBC is probably releasing later this year

I also do not get why there is no pvp separation from pve. It makes no sense to me. After MoP, there has been this idea that the pvp stat wasn’t somehow explained well enough, and stats should be unitary - that there should be no single stat (like resilience) that only works in some given situation. So fair enough, they made the WoD pvp gearing system, where pvp items were obviously much worse than pve items in any sort of pve, while being better in any sort of pvp - there was no “outsider” stat or any of that sort, but still kept the gearing systems of pve and pvp separate, so it worked just fine.

And then, for some arcane reason that I do not understand, they ditched that… everything they tried after that angered a part of the player base somehow, be it the legion pvp templates being fixed and not allowing players to choose what stats to go for, then the bfa pvp gearing system being a complete and utter failure, and now the SL mythic+ gearing system being overshadowed by the pvp gearing system.

When they refuse to make a distinction between pve and pvp gear, they will always run into these problems, where one side proves to be more valuable than the other, and that invariably is lame for someone. Either bring back resilience and pvp / pve set bonuses, or bring back the WoD pvp gearing system - any of those worked better than any of these unitary “gear is gear” thing.

They don’t want to do it because they want PVE players to be able to PVP and vice versa, it’s a design philosophy thing, they don’t want to gate you from content

It’s needed at the moment, a stat that have no impact on PvE. Would stop a lot of boosters that’s for sure.
