Iām pretty sure Metzen said that his favorite character was Malfurion, but thrall was his favorite to play (voice act).
I mean this is the case for a lot of WoW characters. Blizzard doesnāt do morally grey, most characters are just flat out evil or perfect saints.

Yeah. That does not mean he contacted Kaelāthas, nor does it mean Kaelāthas knew what Lorāthemar was up to.
Both factions suck.
Thrall never harmed the alliance in a meaningful way unlike Jaina who put a massacre on us twice. And tried a third time when Thrall had to stop her from drowning Orgrimmar.
Thrall like Jaina was working towards piece between the factions. In Jainaās case it took a massacre and a betrayal of trust to make her flip.
Point stands. If you complain about characters like Thrall or Baine keep in mind they even punished their own people to show the Alliance that they changed their way. I donāt think Tyrande ever punished the Sentinels for keep attacking the Horde in Ashenvale. That is what a comparison to the Taurajo survivors would be.
I donāt. I pointed out that Thrall is not something special in regards to being morally one sided, most WoW characters are.
Ok for example we have Baine and Thrall that can do no wrong on Horde side, we then have Malfurion and Anduin on the Alliance.
The Horde, knowing that Ashenvale is a sacred forest to the night elves, kept encroaching on their territory in times of peace to acquire lumber. Lumber that they knew came from sacred trees. All the while they also attacked the Sentinels.
The Sentinels were not the aggressors in this scenario. They were the ones under attack.
Taurajo was attacked in the middle of a war, a war that the Horde started, and those that burnt the town down were penal soldiers that promptly deserted after the battle and were arrested for their crimes by the Alliance.
Cutting trees is not a crime under any law. The night elves chose to be hostile first. That is why Grom was allowed to kill their demigod by the narrative. Because he was right.
Here comes the alliance biased excuses again. Of course you simp for the one Horde leaders most of the community deepls hates.
It is when those trees are in the sovereign territory of another nation / people.

Contrary to your claims the Alliance punished the people responsible for Taurajo while the Horde celebrated the people responsible for Ashenvale as heroes of the Horde.
Last time I checked both Malkorok and Garrosh are dead.
And Baine punished survivors from Mulgore who tried to retaliate. Like the passive pushover he always was.
Not even in the real world is gathering resources not permitted. Try again.
Baine is hated because he is closer to Anduin and Jaina then any of his fellow Horde leaders.
Last time I checked the Horde has been cutting down swathes of lumber in Ashenvale since before Classic, when Garrosh only joined the Horde proper in WotLK and Malkorok in MoP.

Because Durotar lacks resources. Not even Thrall punished the Warsong Clan because he also knows that this stuff is what the Orcs need to build anything.
Returning to what I said about the Horde celebrating the invaders of Ashenvale as heroes of the Horde, when Thrall deliberately chose Durotar for them to live in because of the harsh conditions and lack of resources.

Dude, tharss was teh guy who liberated the orcs, the guy who seaild with them zo kalimdor,m freed them from the legion, fighing them and establish there a new home.
Without thrall as warchief the horde we have wound exist, heck Thralls as smar orc who disnt activly seek confronation or war was the reason why the nigh elves , and jaina allowed tehm to exist.
They do, but the studies and understanding of this thread has been a funny progress of inconsistency and confusion. I feel like the participants have been just slugging each other off without any meaningfulness for a long time now.
