Will it circle until someone kills it or will it disappear after x minutes?
Ahh so many fond memories of that
Camped in on a Paladin during Cata | MoP the first time I think. Was a bit awful and missed it once from afk no sound and couldn’t tag it in time
Second time got it on a mage passing through randomly. Idek why I killed it, just was excited, still in bank to this day
Then decided to get it again on one of my other accounts
Was during legion and watched Game of Thrones on one screen and camped TLPD on the other. Killed it , and an enemy DH comes over and was raging xD
Added each other in Bnet , and I helped her get it not too long after that. She’s now a close Finnish friend of mine
It has a flight path and despawns after sometime. Not sure if it is when it reaches destination or time induced, can’t remember sorry
Good luck with the farm though and remember , enjoy it. It used to be a lot worse
I’ll spend a few hours on it.

Far as I am aware it just circles its meandering route until it’s killed but tbh it’s pretty much hunted soon as it appears.
You just need to wait until it spawns and hope you tag it on a spot you can easily attract it’s ire. IIRC it shares a six hour spawn with Vyragosa, but I’m not sure if they swap spawns when one dies
But I’ll never forget the day I got mine. I was randomly questing in Storm peaks, at that time I levelled toons to 80 and deleted them. So saw this massive yellow dragon flying and thought, oh he looks tough. so took it down and looted it, didn’t bother checking my bags for what it was. Just as I was about to go back to killing harpies I was swarmed by about 20 players all asking if I had just killed it.
“umm yeah.”
“SHOW US THE MOUNT!”
“what mount?” I said…
It seemed to enrage them…
“noob! open your bags and use the mount!”
“Oh this dragon head thing? I tried but says I need flying”
which only enraged them further.
So I guessed the mount was important, kept the character alive, joined a guild and the legend of Souldefiler began, with me completely unaware that my first flying mount was one of the most prized at the time
