When will TSM addon be banned/broken?

This addon gives such a ridiculous advantage on the auction house/trading to the people that use this addon over the people that dont use it. The amount of BS functions this addon has it surely needs to be looked at by blizzard?

agree. Ban these cheat TSM and all AH addons. They bugged AH

Blizzard bugged the AH, the default UI does not currently work and for the most part does not support multi ilvl crafted gear of the same type, thats not the fault of TSM thats blizzards fault.

TSM is just a stock management system, same as retail businesses use in real life. It’s logistics and supply chain software. There is nothing even closely related to cheating involved with it. Should we close all the supermarkets in the real world because they use software that tells them when stock is running low or which items sell well and have the highest profit margin so they should acquire more of them? No, of course not.

Instead of complaining about it, just learn how to use it. It’s free. You have access to it. There is nothing to complain about.

If you can’t counter something you disagree with by saying something actually meaningful, why waste your time?

Gotta tell you that this comment doesn’t show you in a good light. You had no constructive feedback to a completely fair argument so just thought you’d ‘LOL’ at it and hope that maybe someone else would argue this out for you.

Doubt it. Bet you feel silly.

Not at all. Comparing TSM with a real life retail business stock management system is ridiculous and I didn’t think it was worth a serious reply but wanted to show my disdain.

He completely missed the point, the advantage it gives people is that it automates posting once its been set up.

I mean “it shows when you’re running low on stock”. Do I order more cloth in when the AH is empty?

There’s many addons that make posting faster, even the default AH sets the price now for whatever you right click into it. It doesn’t automate anything. It used to be a one click operation and would post everything automatically a long time ago but that was removed.

It says when you’re running out of stock yourself, not when the entire auction house is. And, yes, you get more cloth when the addon says you’re out of cloth. You either buy it or gather it. What’s your point here? If you need more cloth to craft something it says you need more. That’s what it does.

The only negative thing I can say about TSM is that it allows the user to undercut auctions lightning fast. This means that sometimes your auction gets buried pretty quickly and you might have to repost. Though you still have to click each time you undercut. The only difference is you set your undercut value beforehand.

As Darkrayne has said, it is an insanely powerful tool when it comes to inventory management. It helps you organise and group everything in your bags and bank in a way that the game does not. When you hover over an item it tells you details such as auction price and sell rate which saves you a lot of time. I do not use the restock function but I can see that it would save you a couple of clicks at best.

One of the most amazing things about this addon is the way you can group items and then use those groups to mail them to a different character in one click. It makes item management and crafting so much easier and enjoyable at the same time. You should install TSM for the mailing function alone, it saves a lot of back and forth and gives you more time to play the game.

Last week, I tried using TSM on one character and normal auction on another to see which would make more profit. My not-so-scientific test showed that I made around the same in gold, the only difference was that I could post a little bit faster using TSM. At times I found that I could not sell an item using TSM but when I sold it on normal AH it sold pretty fast (albeit at a lower price).

TL, DR, I recommend you install it and have a look for yourself. Even if you are using it purely for mailing and item management, it is a very useful addon. The ability to undercut in one click is the only negative (from a seller’s perspective) that I can see. TSM saves you time so you can go play the game.

Just install it. Problem solved.

Why are you handicapping yourself when it’s free and legal.

You’re like that meme where the guy on the bike puts a stick in his own wheel and blames everyone else.

Sometimes? I am sure that you meant to say: “all the time”. There is no way to sell anything without waging re-listing wars.

With the way the AH now works, you don’t need to undercut when selling materials and consumables at least. Just relist your auctions all the time and they will sell first without undercutting. The game sells the latest auctions first. This is probably the biggest problem with TSM.

The flipside is that people who want to play the AH simply should get TSM. That’s it. I don’t use TSM, I list my items once a day, a lot of it sells, a lot of it doesn’t, but who cares.

Unlike with rated pvp, TSM doesn’t ruin the actual gameplay. I do think most addons should be disabled in rated pvp, because it changes the game from actual fighting to basically who has the better addons, who can track cooldowns better, etc. But when it comes to “competitive auctioneering” TSM makes the gameplay actually better, far less annoying… so people should just get it.

TSM is not against the rules but lets not pretend it isn’t a powerful selling/buying tool that can be set up to do many wonderful things.

There is the reason it’s the go to for people who want to play the AH to make gold.

I can totally understand not everyone wants such a complex addon to sell their auctions nor should anyone be required to have it.

It’s not about complexity, it’s about average player simply not enjoying the fact that you have to spend in some cases hours waging re-listing wars in order to sell a small amount of trade goods which you have obtained by simply playing the game.

Yeah, I get what you mean  especially when it comes to transmogs. I have made a 100k profit in the last three weeks by using a combination of both TSM and standard AH UI and I am a total noob when it comes to this stuff including the addon. Some things just sell I guess.

Yeah, I saw a lot of items going for the same price today, I think people are catching on to the no undercutting method. I think this takes away the competition aspect of the AH which I don’t really like tbh.

Like you rightly said, if people want to play the auction house TSM is a valuable tool and worth a download. I use the regular AH when items don’t sell through TSM and the combo of both seems to be working great.

Completely break the tool pls. I dont want to have to download a bunch of addons to be on a competative field with everyone else. I just want to log in and play a video game.

exactly this

It is a player created issued, not the addon.
I often buy cheap materials off the AH. And the “average” player is obviously wasting his time.
Just an example for what I mean by this:
Someone plays one hour WoW, doing questing stuff in Pandaria and farming Green Tea Leafs on it’s way. Let’s say he/she has a stack of 100.
After being done with his questing the stuff gets sold and the Green Tea Leafs end up in the AH.
Most “average players” put those in for a ridiculous low amount of money, they don’t value their own game time. Everything, even in WoW, has a price and the price is always the time you used doing it.
Would you put those 100 Green Tea Leafs for 10s on the AH? To be honest I wouldn’t. In that case I’d rather sell them at the vendor.
That’s the reason why TSM and gold making in the AH is working, people don’t think before they sell.
Why would I invest hundreds of hours in farming, leveling crafting and sell my gods for a charity price? You want to donate them? Do it.
But please don’t sell them for 50% of the cost you already put into it.
