I currently have a problem that I started a new main and I have a fairly complete weakauras “HUD” for its abilities but I started noticing the screen is way more CLUTTERED than most top guilds’ players so I wonder if you think a character’s abilities should not even be shown much and just have a binds panel at the bottom of the screen for the most part.
I don’t know. The only addon I have installed is owospeak. You should try and get that one, maybe that’ll solve your issues, or create new ones. Who knows.

I can’t use these kind of weak auras because it confuses me which button is where. I make weak auras that track buffs and put them on the right side of my screen in a group that grows downwards, and I use Nnoggie’s defensive cooldown WA to keep track of defenses on the left side. I just pulled my bars to underneath my characters and I keep track of stuff that way.
I can understand people wanting minimalist approaches, I just forget my skills exist if I don’t see them.
I mainly use TMW because im honestly too old to learn WA’s even though they are superior and everybody knows that.
My usage is some spammables out of CD
Touch of karma/ Shadow word: Death out of CD + @20% Hp of current target + combat.
Stacks for abilities, Buffs + stacks ETC
I have them set up around my character with icons a tad bigger of my UI abilties, plus a flashing border.
This helps me to NOT take my eyes from around my player to the bottom of the screen to look bars or at top right corner to look buffs/debufs.
Ive had a… Problem in Vexiona as well with that mob cast that 1shot you, and ive set a shaking ANNOYING icon on top of my players head, worked like a charm never died since then since then because at the time i was progressing it DBM was broken to report the cast.
I just havve weakaura installed and thats it XD
My weakauras are pretty compact for the most part, but they do show all the things I care about: spell CDs, important procs / buffs, debuff durations on the target if it matters, and so on.

My weakauras glow a lot and make tons of sound because of my lack of attention
I have this for specific abilities/cooldowns, means I can’t miss it.
Some you can just grab ready made from Wagio and others you need to make yourself or get a friend to do
