the amount of bots in this game is insane! it’s beyond description
and it doesn’t require any effort to find them
I keep reporting and nothing happens
are there no GM’s at all?
they need their sub $
I have a theory. The reason why bots are taking over is so Blizzard can use it as an excuse to introduce the WoW token, just like they did in retail. There is no way in hell for a bot, that has been reported by the entire server, multiple times, to still be botting a month later.
ALL GMs got sacked long time ago instead they took in financial advisers that are putting game into state its in now from gamers for gamers to f.ck you give me money …
PS: even walkout is staged today in Blizzard so u can spam forum all u want nothing will happen.
yeah, level 60 rogues guildless in slave pens… its not that hard blizzard ban them please.
There are no GM’s anymore, only thing you have is - report treshold autoban. If a player is reported enough times in a set time, the account gets automatically banned. So you can ban anyone at any time, just like it was done during the scrab lord weeks.
Actual people require a competative pay, and Actiblizard cant have that.
Why hire actual people who care for this game and community when you can have a crappy automated system that can be exploited? Besides, Bobby needs his annual bonus.
So I must’ve imagined that blizzard even dragged bot sellers before court into a year long legal battle…
The Token simply came because privacy laws trump the need of catching botters and to effectively do something against them you would need to void alot of privacy laws
Depends on the kind of botting.
I’m sure I don’t have to violate privacy laws to ban all the guildless level 58 slave pens bots. Should you catch any legitimate level 58 guildless player in your banwave, they should be able to appeal their ban (in a perfect world where Blizzard CS isn’t also crappy) and get their access restored. I don’t know if bots are able to appeal bans and prove they are legitimite players somehow.
Blizzard won’t ban anyone unless it’s politically incorrect.
In late classic phase 6 and begginig of TBCC, blizzard was doing a nice job with BOTS, many got banned and we were seeing much less BOTS around… Ofc they need to be alwais banning them constantly because, people are alwais getting new accounts to use more and new BOTS…
Maybe the reason for them to not being so active regarding those bans, has to due with all the scandal that is going on, and maybe they are having less employees… This is just my thoughts, I dunno tbh
busy sukkin off kotick the demon
I have atm a 65lvl alt on a dead server I sometimes log to grind the rested xp in. The server is quite dead and 50% of the times i meet someone it is a bot, while most times I meet no one at all. Basically, seldom do I report more than one bot per day. My comment on the report is a simple “botting”.
This last week or two maybe, I literally always log in to that char with a Costumer Support in-game mail referencing some kind of action taken. Most surprising is that I dont see those bots ever again. Either my reporting accuracy is so good they actually listen to the report, or I’m gona make an educated guess that the moderation work they do on servers might be assymetrical. The fact people mention bots being mass reported for months with no action makes me wonder if Blizz red flag algorithm isn’t actually interpreting those report as some sort of community driven “foul play”/spam instead, and thus being ignored
I guess they are on a strike since recent news about harassment.
Dunno what you’re talking about with bots and hackers.
Only actual people legitimately playing this game.
I mean this looks perfectly normal to me.
This is honestly the main reason botting is at such a crazy level these days.
They let the bots run long enough for the botters to profit from it, then they slap them with a ban and the botters just get new accounts and do it all over again.
Blizzard sells more subs and boosts and the botters get to keep their ill-gotten profits.
So both parties earn from it, the only one suffering are the PLAYERS and they don’t give a about the players.
@ [Krysus] it’s not just the 58bots, i’ve seen many 70bots just killing in zangermarsh top east side for herb terocone drop & In shadowmoon vally elemental spots, i confirmed that they are 100% Bots & sent to blizz but nothing.
@ [Scripton] in late classic phase6 gold selling was not good at all, so bots vanished cus no one buys gold, But atm in tbc-c where gold buying is shining? Bots are back
@ [Gurthan] bots are farming in dead servers, so that they collect tons of ore/herbs & then move the character to a heavy server to sell those mats then sell that gold.
@ [Valkia] i’m aware that blizz care for subs via bots & I’m sure that number1 buyers to the 58boost are BOTS, But eventually bots will drive away real players & in the end blizzard will lose much more subs.
They stealed from you more than 50000 yang and putting much effort into It? Perhaps you are… “INCASSATO?” (Quote by Marco Bartucci)
I mean if no one bought the botters gold then the botters wouldnt do what they do, but I guess customer is always right?
Blizzard has no power in Asian countries.
Average ticket waiting time 11 days :-s
wherever the GMs are, they’re not here
