Where are the Horde leaders?

ugh…not Garrosh!

But it does bug me that the Alliance seem to have far more in depth back stories and relationships then the Horde leaders.
Other then Thrall being married with kids Im not sure any of the leadership have any family, even adopted. They just feel very 2-D compared to the Alliance leaders.

Thrall never went mad nor did Vol’Jin.

I was no fan of Garrosh but still prefer a Warchief over none. At least he was true to his character, a warmonger who went crazy with power. Even in the afterlife he was a raging angry orc.

I have no idea what they were thinking with Sylvanas. She wasn’t really suited to being Warchief, she was cunning and worked behind the scenes. Then they made her stupid and believe the Jailer.

Started by psychopathic warchiefs big difference

Not gonna lie, that made me chuckle

It was meant to be a sort of compromise with the Alliance cause they cried Horde bias a lot since there was a cult following on the US forums for guys who had a thing for seeing Sylvanas killed off.

And I’m not blaming just the Alliance here. Many of these people were Horde. It’s funny. When Garrosh was boss, the “elfy” Horde wanted him dead. When Sylvanas was in charge the “orc” Horde wanted her dead. I’m to blame here as well cause I wanted Vol’jin dead. He bored me sleep.

The rest of the horde followed blindly.

He never got the chance to do anything remotely useful. I liked him, I wish they’d given him some story focus once he became Warchief lol.

But he’s hardly unique by now, the whole Horde roster is MIA. I hope TWW will change that, red side needs some love!

It was miserable they never really did anything with Vol’jin after making him Warchief, he didn’t even get a good death.

No, I read his book. It was so boring I wanted to read something else but I was so bored that I couldn’t bother and just finished it. I cannot think of a more underwhelming character. And to be honest it’s not even the character that is the problem, or at least not just. It’s Blizzards age-free story telling. Can’t have trolls being, you know, trolls, the guys that catch you, stick you in a pot, then serve you as dinner. Nah, that’s what they act like they are, but in reality they are just a bunch of swell guys who sound like they might have pot for sale and Vol’jin is their king.

It he died as he lived, in an uninteresting manner.

Yes let’s disobey the warmongering psychopath who’s our leader and could quite easily wipe us off the map

Can’t have any war in warcraft anymore, everything has to be about peace and friendship, what trash

don’t know how these writers are allowed to keep their jobs, don’t know why dAnuser isn’t fired after travesty of Shadowlands.

Leaders of the Horde left blizzard ages ago.

I would def like to see some development for some of the Horde leaders.

Trolls def need some more storylines (like a quest chain where they add forest trolls to their side and unlock a new skin!).
Also Id like to see the Goblins officially move back to Bilgewater Harbor as a base of operations. Give them a real command structure there and add some sort of goblin race car to ferry you from Orgrimmar gate to a dock to the Harbor (like the carriages in Revendreth).

Not so worried about the elves…they are def getting their plotlines in Midnight!

But in the end you did, both with Garrosh and Sylvanas. But only when the damage was already done and you were losing the war. :dracthyr_shrug:

Where is Zappy boi? I miss that young troll.

He works as a sparky in Orgrimmar, someone has to keep the lights on at the auction house.

I want to ask a question for people who actually thinks that World of Warcraft is not about war anymore but peace.

Do you actually believe that World of Warcraft was about Alliance vs Horde ?

Because it’s not just the case since… Warcraft 3. It was always more like Alliance & Horde vs Bigger threats.

The Horde never actually fought at full force since it’s own leaders sabotaged their own faction efforts. And not like the Horde could have a victory without sending the Alliance fanbase into a frenzy so intense you could hear “Horde Bias” from space.

No, it wasn’t more like. It was actually less like. In many missions you fight against the Horde or the Alliance depending on who you play. Just because they teamed up in the end does not suddenly make it all about that. What you people on about.

And World of Warcraft has always been based on a continuous conflict between the Alliance and the Horde.

Excuse me??

The horde was fighting with all its might until the end of the expansion in both BFA and MOP.

In BFA the rebellion started after Nazjatar. The horde was already losing since the siege of Zandalar, where Nathanos said that the horde was very near to be defeated and that the alliance was advancing on all fronts. At the same time, the alliance commanders established that in a few weeks they would achieve the victory. What a coincidence that when the alliance was about to win, Azshara appeared and swallowed a large part of the alliance forces, equalizing the balance between the two factions.

In fact in MOP if Kalecgos had failed to convince Jaina to stop, she would have sunk all of Durotar and Orgrimmar under the sea using the Focusing Iris. The horde currently only exists because a single human mage decided not to invoke that Tsunami that would have wiped out the entire faction.

Prior to that, Garrosh was nearly killed by Varian in Wolf Heart. He was saved because a dying magnataur came between both combatants preventing Varian from delivering the fatal blow when Garrosh was disarmed and immobilized and allowing his comrades to rescue him from the fight.

Same happens with the horde fanbase. This is why the alliance never finish them after their victories.
