Typically when expansions hit you can buy green gear from a vendor so you can actually survive in the zone. since all my characters were leveled from 100-110 using legion invasions they dont have good gear at all.
where can i buy green vendor gear?

where can i buy green vendor gear?
hey and since when? never seen that before and AUCTION HOUSE!
im fairly sure MoP had a set like OP mentions, so maybe WoD and Legion too?
all my alts are in same boat. imo, dont worry about it.
if they are just alts, you dont need to worry to much. this is my opinion.
but if you still want to buy gear, im afraid i dont know if/where there is a guy for BfA.
What is this i lvled from lvl 1 to 120 without buying anything ?
And i am reaaaaaally curious about these vendors.
i agree. i think its a waste of money to pay for any gear before 120, and even then i would never pay for gear now as they are silly prices, and rng means you could have a bis TF with gemslot on your next wq, i haven’t bought gear since WotLK.
without looking deeply into it, i think there was a vendor around the place where we farmed in MoP, and i mean actually farming crops! halfhill? sold something like “forest gear” which was basically a green set probably equal ilvl for that zone.
EDIT: here, this is one of the guys that sells mop green sets:
thank you for your response i did not get these buying gear just waste of gold !
unless you want it for transmog, which i dont think OP does, yeah you are completely right, complete waste of gold.
If you do quests in BFA you can get some decent gear. As you are 110 you can access BFA and do the WQ’s to get gear. Not to mention the warfronts.
As for gear, in Legion there are pvp vendors and class hall vendors, where you can get gear, but you seriously can get better gear doing the WQ’s in BFA.
doing a quick search for item sets, as the mop greens were a set, so its a good place to start looking if you dont actually know where to go…
if you go down to BOE/Green sets, you will see that the last ones seem to have been in WoD, with the “greens” in Legion actually being blues/purples crafted.
so, without someone with more knowledge, if it was me, i would presume from this that there is no " new expansion greens set" for BfA.
but like i said, you dont really need the wrist/waist/glove/boot slots.
Only MoP had that. it was a good idea too.
Though honestly I’ve never really needed to do most of that. I have my heirlooms maxed out, and for the pieces I don’t have heirlooms for I get them from dungeons, which I do inbetween quests so that my gear is always up to date.
I’m not sure how good the gear is, and I guess it’ll take a bit of time to get it, but the vendor by the Mage Tower on Broken Shore sells gear for Nethershards.
As I have never levelled by invasions I don’t know if you get Nethershards from them though.
they drop from random mobs.
You either kill mobs to get them, or buy them from AH.
I’m not aware of such a vendor for 110 however to answer other people’s questions. In cata there was a green vendor at Mt Hyjal in the Nordrassil Lodge (can’t think of specfic name) and in MoP you could buy them at Dawn’s Blossom in Jade Forest.
Can’t you just buy AH greens that are 110? Sort them by iLevel.
Since cats and wowhead is your friend with your fake disblief.
wasn’t that added in MoP when Blizzard found that people liked that idea.
It meant you could get the ilvl to be able to queue for dungeons. And of course also added a transmog set.
pretty sure cata had aswell, or atleast had a greengear vendor in hyial
You do the opening quest line for the initial gear and then the first half dozen quests and your good to go . And if it’s the item level for dungeons that is holding you up then just buckle up and work for the items. Do the dungeon runs that you can and work towards the numbers. And or buy the stuff… its a plenty.
Here is a good tip… Level characters and don’t vendor or throw stuff away keep the gear and weapons in store for future characters. I started a whole new realm in January and by the end of the month I had enough kit to feed an army all the way to 120. I just then went to the bank and picked stuff off the shelf. Also TimeWalking is great so pacing characters builds around those events really works.
