Basically just wanna know which active guilds are looking for more people, looking in guild finder have proven to be very useless xD
Forums are pretty good. AA is also possible but it’s difficult to discern which guilds are active or not.
The best way might be through discord servers though. Community/hub servers often have channels highlighting which guilds are around.

Another question maybe it should be thread for tis own but when it comes to transmog when is magic glowy, not very low fantasy stuff. when does that become to much if it even can get to much (im asuming it does)
WoW is a high fantasy game, so there kind of isn’t something like “too much”? It just depends on what you think suits the character the best. Having huge glowy shoulderpads might not fit a simple baker. Or it might! It’s up to you.

Yea, i just explained it poorly, i meant more like when does it get to unappealing for like people that dont know you, this ofc depends on each person but maybe there is like some standards or am i just overthinking it.
Depends on the guild and what they allow. A guild entirely focused on human footmen might have a few scales back on the whole over the top flashy armor thing compared to, say, a group of Silver Hand paladins.

Yeah, I get it. People might find various things annoying, despite my answer, but it’s hard to please people when everyone’s got a different idea of what’s “too much”. It’s probably best to just do what you like and trust your own instinct!

For piece of mind for people new to Argent Dawn, AA stands for Argent Archives, not alcoholics anonymous as I first read!
There you can post stories, make a character profile, art and generally see guilds who are recruiting and see upcoming events on the server.
Joining comminities and discord hub servers is also a good shout! Plenty of guilds who are actively recruiting will post information on who they are looking for.

I am just gonna use this opportunity to remind everyone how pointlessly difficult it is to find an RP guild. In game guild finder doesn’t work at all and on AA a potential recruit is left just as clueless whether the guild is actually active or not. Now on an official blizzard platform like the forums, if a guild goes inactive, so goes their thread automatically soon after. There are some dozen hub, racical, class and whatever else discords without public links and about which new RPer has no way of knowing through which you have to sift to hopefully find a guild. But a combination of forums and AA is your best bet until that improves, at worst you may just waste some time trying to contact people only to find out they are no longer active.
Siennyr may potentially do an in game IC guild fair in Crossroads hub, if there are horde guilds interested to participate, so that is something to definitely look forward to!
Depends mostly on your character. Are you even a nightborne or paladin if you are not glowing enough? Good luck with finding a guild and adjusting the glow of your mog!

I always suggest the In-Game roleplay. Assuming the guild you seek is a RP guild.
Forums may not be up to date, and so other channels.
Dress as you think your character suit, and how you feel your interest is.
A more to the group character will fit more to matching guilds, some flashy and heroic champion character will be on the lookout for other venues in terms of what a guild can offer - concept wise.
Do some roleplay with a few guild members of the guild that picked your interest to gauge their vibe and see how they act and behave.
