I kinda take back what I was saying about the bloke in that case, the last time I saw his videos it was just this unending torrent of “Game bad, I’m sad” and if I wanted that experience, I’d just look at trade chat for thirty seconds.
Glad to hear that there’s some more nuance with him these days and I do hope he’s genuinely enjoying the game he’s centering his content around.
Had forgotten that Garrosh moment up until now. Most memorable moment is probably Ysera’s rebirth in Ardenweald, one of the few genuinely very good parts of the expansion… and which has since been screwed up by her Dragonflight return.
the most memorable moment of shadowlands for me was the part where i finished the leveling quest story and then immediately lost interest and didn’t log in again until dragonflight
I think that having the faction leaders simultaneously also be the main characters does the story a disservice too. Let leaders lead and establish hero characters to become the PC’s supporting cast instead.
Give each race some signature characters and stick with them
Night Elves could use Broll, Jarod, Kor’vas, and a heap of others. So much potential used and then discorded purely in the Order Hall campaigns or a single zone of Legion.
These two both have character potential. Of course, Lilian is considered damaged goods since BfA’s story. Zekhan is a cool notion of what the Horde could be, with its younger generations - optimistic, idealistic, eager to carve out their place on Azeroth.
Regarding faction warfare, someone should honestly just make a Battle for Azeroth private server that is eternally stuck in 8.1.
That way, the people who believe that faction warfare is the heart and soul of the game will have their perfect version of World of Warcraft, frozen in time, so they won’t ever have to worry about the focus shifting away from red versus blue.
Additionally, the World of Peacecraft moniker don’t even make sense – every expansion is defined by conflict. Without exception, you’re at war with somebody every time.
The Burning Legion, the Scourge, the Primalists, the Old Gods, Akamito’s Uncle (Zovaal).
remember how they inexplicably turned Taelia into a paladin in Shadowlands despite her being a warrior-type in BfA with no explanation or elaboration for the sudden development.
