Hi wasnt the tabard suppossed to release today along with the illusion? Where can i get it, can’t find it anywhere
Tabard and illusion have not been added this patch.
They did the same thing in Legion. No illusion until season 3, and those who had 2400 in season 1 and 2 didn’t get it retroactivally.
I can’t stress how lazy it is on Blizzard’s part.
Illusion is still missing for me eventho the latest wowhead article with updated changes says it shoud be in the game already.
Duelist: Dragonflight Season 1 achievement now grants the Primal Storm illusion.
No, Blizzard didn’t do the same. They never said they’d give the illusion to players who got 2.4k in Legion s1/s2. But they said during the beta that they’ll give illusion/tabard/cloak to players who earned it in DF s1, retroactively, whenever they’ll implement them back into the game. Which apparently wasn’t today.
Also, you’ll hear about it having been added on the NA realms first, since they get their weekly resets before EU does.
NA doesn’t have the illusion yet
I didn’t say that either. I said that you’ll hear about it having been added on their realms first, since they get their weekly resets before EU does. Implying that when Blizzard does add it, then you’ll hear it from the NA realms first.
By “the same”, I was mostly referring to them not being bothered to have an illusion and tabard models ready for launch - and worse, not even being capable of doing so immediately in the next few months following launch.
PvP tabards always look cheap and low effort anyway, so it’s not like they’re taking their time to make a refined, unique, high quality item either.
Like, for real. How many store mounts, promotion items, cash shop transmogs, and trading post items have been added to the game or leaked on Wowhead between Dragonflight’s launch and now?
They did make 'em though, for DF. It’s just that they announced there was a technical problem with the 3 items, and that they had to delay their implementations to “some time later in DF s1”, while they said that they’ll reward players who earned 'em with the item(s) they’ve earned, retroactively.
Yeah, right. Sure.
They couldn’t hide the spoiler-packed “underground” map but they’re hiding those totally real and existing tabard models from dataminers like champs.
That’s called “whale fishing” designs. Because Blizzard is trying to nickle & dime every remaining player, instead of focusing their all on trying to design purely enjoyable content that can lure more players in.
For example, If you’ve got 2 subscribers to your service, but you don’t charge anything more for it, you’re set at what you get from those 2 subscribers in your earnings.
Which means if you lose 1, you’d lose half of your earnings.
But if you instead add microtransactions and bonuses to get people to commit more long-term, you may lose players from the nickle & diming, but if the players left spend enough to cover what you’ve lost from losing those players and then spend even more, you can even end up with a profit. Even though you’d have less subscribers to your service.
They removed them from the game servers entirely, so yeah, that sure will stop dataminers from finding out about 'em.
I’m not a conspiracy theorist. But I 100% don’t believe this excuse, especially with their track record with PvP in mind.
Not to mention, it’s not just the tabards missing, but the PvP illusion too.
Tabard is out now.
