Where do you AFK?

Seeing how many of the posters here don’t like the idea of the memeroof/idling with a mount somewhere in the sky, I thought I’d ask here out of curiosity! Where do you guys park your characters when you’re idling around and yet don’t feel like logging out? For me, it’ll probably be one of the roofs in Cathedral Square (no specific one, I tend to pick whatever I feel like at the time), the place where you spawn after teleporting to Stormwind with a mage portal or just somewhere in the air.

Depends if I have to go at a hub or not. If one of my characters it in the middle of no where then just there. In Stormwind I just let my character sit somewhere and hit the “AFK” button on the trp. Adding to some immersion and all, ya know. In less populated spots there is always an alley or so where you can just sit or stand around in.

The whole roof thing is something I would never do since it’s annoying for me to see others doing that and also immersion breaking.

I tend to actually use rooftops for AFK if im in a place like Stormwind. However, I then make sure to land from my mount & do it on those rooftops that server as archways via the bridges(so you arent visible on the roof)

And since Im currently maining a rogue, I also tend to stealth when/if I need to I go afk in RP hubs.

Trade District or Valley of Strength, normally either in the bank room or the AH room.

You know, not on a mount.

7th Legion ship or Order Halls on my Alliance
Banshee’s Wail or that portal area in Zuldazar on my Horde.

Dazar’alor, which as of 8.3 is a very bad idea.

Mostly in Dwarven or Boralus, if people have a problem with my afk butt sitting afk then they haven’t voiced it and mostly I notice people just pass through or walk around.

The sky.

Either that or I just go stealth as a Rogue and AFK in a corner or something.

Stormwind: Trade.
Duskwood: Roof.
Boralus: Anywhere.

If I am sat in a queue for something that might require me to fly to a dungeon I tend to gravitate around the birds nest on 7th legion ship. Otherwise if just in general trying to work out what actually gonna do, laps of stormwind entrance under the bridge and around the statues.

Nowhere.
I always do other stuff when I’m queued. When I’m not doing content and am not in any queues… I log out.
Kinda surprised that the idea of “afk spots” is even a thing tbh.

The only time I afk really personally is if I need to go and do something abruptly, while still doing stuff ingame. But I never stay logged in on wow just for the sake of it.

I never AFK.
I bring my keyboard with me on the bus and other public transports whenever I leave home.

AFK is a sign of weakness!

I normally log out when I start finding myself not doing anything content or RP related. If I do however need to AFK abruptly, I find non-disruptive spot to place myself in and if I remember to do it shadowmeld.

I… uh… seldom bother to find a secluded place to AFK.

I am scum, sorry. :frowning:

Wherever I go I find random IC excuses then walk away a good portion from the RP and fly up in air.

Stealth somewhere out of the way if I’m on a character that has access to said.
If not, I fly as high as I can so people won’t see me anymore.
If its a long time of an AFK, I tend to log to character select, or completely off.

90% of the time I just log out, the other 10% I just go as high up in the sky as possible.
