Where is everyone?

Been playing at the starting area for almost an hour and not seen a single other players. No Horde and no Allinace. Thought this was an MMO. It feels a bit lonely to have the whole island to myself. Is it some kind of phasing?

I think a lot of people called it quits for the night because of the issue with getting to the starter zone then the lag also.

“Where is everyone?”

It’s pretty late. I’m guessing many people will log in after work tomorrow (technically today now)

I guess is sharding. I was in the boat with other 50 and suddenly alone in dragon isles.

I concluded they just went hard with the sharding to let people get on.
Hardly saw anyone tonight.

Worked out well for me though as questing was easier.

Didn see a lot of people neither.
Wanted to do some dungeons now but quit (as healer) after 3 minutes because morrons were just standing in aoe and trying to race the instance. They can keeo searching for a healer that wants to try and heal a bunch of morrons and a tank that cant take aggro xD

What people need understand with conclusions like that is this is a MMO game…with millions of people playing (supposedly)

Not everyone is asleep,at work ,school or whatever…

Game is dead, and that is a fact.

I have seen 3 people and im lvl 63 almost

Much smaller games have more people around,in most zones, let alone during expansion release…

It could be sharding… makes it seem like a lot fewer people around. But then I logged in the wee hours today morning just before getting to work. I usually avoid day1 cos every launch has had lots of login issues, queues etc

i’m collecting glyphs so this piss poor flying gets better

I gave up last night after the servers went down and decided my time was better spent asleep. Quite a lot of my friends who were planning on playing late last night did the same. That plus sharding will be one of the reasons it was quiet.

It’s been super quiet for me too. Strangest MMO expansion launch I’ve ever seen lol. Normally there’s a mass of players destroying everything but it’s just been me for hours with the rare odd player running past every now and then.

Something must not be working correctly or they overtuned the sharding to avoid crowding because there’s no way it’s this dead for a launch, even in the middle of the night.

Every comment you make is literally negative. Why don’t you just quit?

I mean you must be really unhealthy addicted to the game to keep playing something you seemingly heavily dislike and announce to everyone.

It’s not free though. You need a sub

Gave up 15min in while on the shore when the server failed. I was like “ok this is more of a WoD launch than a SL launch. See ya tomorrow this is gonna be unplayable this night” .

Considering there are way less players now and they mastered sharding i though it would be smooth. But did not know there was little to no phasing on the shore. Big mistake imo.

Honestly its pretty stable now
i feel like dragon riding would be cooler if it actually let us use the our favorite dragons i really like the life binder’s handmaiden but alas she forgot how to dragoride it seems

A lot of people dont play for the first few days because we have been burnt too many times.

Remember the stacked garrison? Cata and MOP lock out? I remember, I will never do another launch and always give it some time.

Nice to have a few days off before hitting the story hard.

Has not been an MMO since they came up with shards and phasing
