He’s the only character that really knows what Sylvanas’ true intentions are which is quite interesting.
And she was quite happy to sacrifice the power of one of her Val’kyr so she could have her eye candy back. Yes she’s cold, but both her and Nathanos are holding onto some aspect of their former living selves.
She was still able to raise people into undeath as souls were being funnelled to the maw so I’m pretty certain Nathanos’ soul is in capable hands somewhere.
His story isn’t over.
I’d like to see some sort of storyline where he confronts his guilt over killing his cousin for his body.
There were a few times in the Before the Storm book where he seemed to question Sylvanas’ actions, and he hand a fondness for some of those Forsaken she slaughtered in Arathi Highlands.
Grow up. He goes “You’re nothing mate” and you’re like “Hang on you ****, I actually did the hard work here, what did you do? Nothing! Nothing a damned all, so you can shut your yap sunshine, or get a right hook”

Can you blame him at laughing at the concept of an elf speaking for the Horde, of which elves have no place in, in front of the king of all Trolls, of which they have millennia of bad blood?
The idea is hilarious. And was manufactured purely for gameplay reasons at the cost of bad writing.
I didn’t play horde during BFA much at all, but from what I seen he was another NPC who did nothing other than give orders, but he was smug about it.
The guy was literally an embodiment of someone who was friend-zoned which made him seem even more lame to me. On top of that he was proud of being friend-zoned.
All Anduin had to do to win Sylvanas’s heart was be nice to her and she’s started falling for him.
Sylvanas loves Nathanos like someone who owns a puppy, Sylvanas’ real love is Arthas. She has been depressed since his death, keeps causing trouble. She just tried to create a discount Arthas through Anduin, doesn’t seem satisfied by the result, wants the original one, mark my words…
Her ultimate plan is resurrecting Arthas, you will see
