As I’m scrolling through wow news articles I came across one about a rogue npc that’s been added to the game. Turns out they have been added in memoriam of the twitch streamer “Reckful”. It’s a lovely sentiment but it left me asking.
WHERE IS OUR HAYVEN MEMORIAL.
Hayven was an awesome lore youtuber who brought colour and vibrance to the game, I loved his videos and they are what helped to intice me back to the game. He passed away during Legion to cancer and since his passing his fans have asked for some sort of memorial, petitions have been made to get him in the game. But still nothing. Blizzard if you can add reckful please can you add our fallen paladin “Hayven” he deserves it and it’s the right thing to do.
I suspect it’s because he had closer ties to Blizzard staff. He competed at Blizzcon for example. He did get banned but I’m sure they put that past them after he died.
I don’t know the guy you’s are talking about, So I don’t know how close he is to Blizzard.
This is an awkward thread to make, honestly, as I have to “attack” a dead person to get my point across.
Hayven, sad as it is that he passed, wasn’t as big as Reckful.
Reckful is iconic to the PVP scene in WoW, Hayven was a content creator. Reckful was “born” in WoW, Hayven is “out of scope” / “third party” however you want to view it.
I’ve been a big WoW content creator follower since early MoP days, and sadly I never heard of Hayven.
We can’t ask for a memorial for everyone who dies just because you knew them. That would be a bit depressing.
Hayven was “born” on youtube, and his memorial is his Youtube page.
Reckfuls memorial is his WoW NPC.
