You don’t get a key - it appears on your launcher.

next round maybe, they’re not guaranteed

I don’t need another one. Thanks for asking Blizzard though.

β, or Alt +3B2.

Now you have a beta key, feel free to copy & paste and spread it all around!

You know… I am actually wondering what an account makes eligible to even participate in a BETA version.

Because i was actually wondering how come i did’nt get access to BETA.
I joined after the Burning Crusade but before Wrath of the Lich King was released. That’s 12 years ago. And the fact that i’m still here shows i am dedicated. Especially considering i’ve got multiple level 120 characters and this (where i post this comment with) is actually the character i levelled. The one where i started World of Warcraft with.

Other then that, i’ve also paid for multiple paid services overtime, migrated characters, with some i even faction changed. Race change…

So the fact alone that i joined 12 years ago, spended so much time, energy but also money to make use of certain (paid) services, multiple times, and the fact that after those 12 years, i am still here, shows how dedicated to the game i am.

So what is it that makes a WoW account eligible for a BETA version of a game and/or expansion pack?

My guess is like the rest of WoW - RNG.

I’m quite glad it appears you didn’t get one, because with that self entitled attitude I know for a fact you wouldn’t be on it to report on bugs and test things.

@Auluk,
I think you got it all wrong because i am not the kind of person that would go around bragging. That’s just not me. You may think i do but i don’t.

Just because i list my activity does’nt mean i consider myself as “entitled”

I was refering to the original post, sorry ill edit it to make it more obvious :slight_smile:

I imagine that once they’ve gotten the mythic raiders in and high profile streamers and Youtubers then its just random.
At least that seem like the most sensible way of doing it.

@Auluk,
No problem. I just feel like it’s like a slap in the face to those that are just as dedicated as i am and get left out. I always kinda disliked the fact that some companies put priority or hand out something exclusively to those with some kind of celebrity-like status. You know what i mean?

Things that may have helped my selection for Beta include:

Signing up for the Beta, seriously I think some people who want it haven’t.
Buying Shadowlands Heroic.
Having a constant sub since June 2005.
My “contributions” to the forums.
My sparkling personality.
Blizzard just like me, well they did name a pet after me.

I am not saying these are the reasons why I got it, just that they MAY help in my opinion.

@Dottie,

I joined back in March / April 2008, that’s a little over 12 years ago. I with some expensions, i even purchased the “Collectors Edition” and with Shadowlands, i bought the most expensive version. I made use of multiple (paid) services and after those 12 years, i am still here. I have multiple max level characters on both sides, I think that should be sufficient enough to make my account eligible.

But i guess, Blizzard is just like any other company out there.
They put priority to people with a celebrity-like status.

well, of course they do! If they are trying to sell a product they are going to give priority access to people with a platform to advertise their product. Makes sense surely??

Ive also been here since Vanilla and spent a small fortune on game services, shop items and have multiple max level characters…Im gonna sit here quietly though and hope that I get an invite in one of the many of waves of invites coming. If I dont? then…meh, thats life I suppose!

as far as im aware its basically random, I’m sure also Players who’ve participated in prior betas and proven able to report multiple problems and known to have the excess time to fine comb the game.

Dedication doesnt make u Eligible. At the end of the day, you can be a Dedicated Player and at the same time not a Major voice in balance / bugs etc etc which in a Beta enviroment wouldnt be Useful for what its susposed to be.

Remember this isnt a “Exclusive Buddy group of people who get SL Early” this is a Random Group of players Asked to bug test Their game.

nothing realistically. its Bug testing. blizzard has LOADS of people who opt in for these things… one of my friends got into WoD Beta… and i randomly got into BFA beta. it isnt based upon a Critea list.

they’re basically just randomly handing out keys… Long term play time doesnt mean a player wants to bug test their games… theres no link between these two things.

you mean they prioritize people they know they have 24hours 7 days a week attention from who Make money by showing their game off to large platforms.

  • its free advertisement
  • Streamers are Prolly thje Best people to bug test their games.

Stop treating it like SL Early access… and see it as a bug testing process and you can see easily why they prioritize people who stream their game 16 hours a day… they are more feasible to get onto games at all hours of the day.

for example preach had to stay up all night to play through the 1 day Testing they gave Streamers, a normal person who has a Job simply CANNOT do that with short notice.
