Where is the cursor

When there is a lot of FX on screen, which usually is quite a lot, I tend to “lose” the cursor on the screen. As I steer using the mouse, the cursor is mostly invisible - then, in a mad panic (eg Gloom Squall) I need to click the damn button, and there is so much already on the screen that I have no idea where the cursor has gone to.

Whereas other buttons are on my toolbars, mostly assigned key shortcuts, and otherwise easier to click on - this large button in the bottom half of the screen is in between all the FX and I cannot find the cursor to click on it!

I think the only solution is to have a keybind for that particular “extra” action button - is that even possible? Being in combat and all?

If you are using weakauras, there are weakauras that will place a small circle around the cursor so it’s easier to find.

Mouse trails have been a standard feature of Windows since forever. I have turned it on now just to see whether it makes a difference. But I think on the next Sanguine Depths I will let someone else carry the shield…

Windows mouse trail is obnoxious. This addon leaves a customizable trail.

Under the keybindings tab there should be an option to assign a key to the Extra Action Button.

Alternatively, you can make a macro and put it on your hotbar:

/click ExtraActionButton1

Thank you, is that the button? I have now bound it to my V key hopefully I will be able to find the V key easier than the mouse cursor in a mad panic.

Yup. Any item you pick up that gives you an extra button to use it will now be bound to V. Good luck out there! :slight_smile:

U can make a WA for cursor so its more “visible”

U can bind extra action buton

U can also move it to some better place if u want thanks to moveanything addon ( can also remove tons of stuff)

Not sure if its called extra or special action button tho, its one or the other.

Yes, it works. It also prints a V inside that extra button, just to remind you :slight_smile:

Yes it is called Extra Action Button 1, and I always knew it existed, but had not realised. "Special Action Button"s are those for eg Druids to shapeshift, Pally auras etc
