Where is the Earthen Ring?

Maybe I am not the only one who reached the conclusion that if the elements are rising agains us, for some reason, why we get help from the masters of the arcance, rather the masters of the elements?

If I remember well, the Earthen Ring is best bud with all four elemental lord, heck, they even throned one of them.

So unless they are doing some infiltration work, brought to spotlight in some of the following 10.x patches, where are they?

We need Khadgar and his dad-jokes!

Joke aside, it’s a valid question, I’m even surprised I haven’t seen Green Jesus anywhere near the aspects. Actually, I haven’t seen a shaman being on the island… I mean NPC shaman.

There is a Earthen Ring gzy in the base camp I think.
But he didn’t really have any important r relevant dialogue.

I could be wrong, but I think a lot of people are green jesus’d out.

Thrall hasn’t been an interesting character for quite a long time now (in my view) as he’s just either moped or doted on his family. Which doesn’t make for particularly gripping story.

Good question.
Maybe we’ll bump into them if we venture in Primalist territory underground.

And Thrall should be involved somehow (maybe not quite so much as Cata).

Metzen isn’t in charge anymore so thrall doesn’t have plot powers anymore either.

Oh, well then… I guess if he’s nowhere to be seen playing big daddy, it’s up to Papa Khadgar to save the world.

And us, of course. Yet AGAIN.

There are several shamans from what I’ve seen, though it seems they’re not there in force.

There’s an earthen ring shaman halfway between Expedition camp and Obsidian throne, standing in a green grassy field surrounded by lava, using an army of her earth elementals to fight the army of fire elementals rising from the lava.

I think there are couple shamans with the explorers trying to break into some tomb

I guess I expected Thrall to be here trying to suck up to the elements by fighting the Primalists, after the fiasco in Draenor that rendered him ā€˜impotent’. But no. It seems that apart from the dragons and Khadgar, all the ā€œwell knownā€ NPCs decided to retire during the timeskip

It’s inbetween your bum cheeks I think.

My guess is that the current writers know less about the lore than you do, and they have forgotten about them entirely.

Unless you remind them on twitter, it makes sense that they don’t. Most of them don’t play WoW and it’s well known some of them don’t even own a personal computer (just a smartphone)

I’d rather see Thrall than Khadgar.

Beg to disagree, but we have our preferences

Also - correct me if I’m wrong - didn’t Khadgar get Medivh’s job? If yes, and he’s the guardian now, then technically Papi has the right to be there with Kalec and help the aspects.

Elementalist Taiyang at the Life Vault Ruins says they’ve been brought in to act as consultants for the Dragonscale Expidition. So as you said, they’re there just not as a standalone faction its seems. Wouldn’t be surprised too if a few of it’s members sided with the primalists too. So maybe the organisation has reservations about fighting their own membership if they were to turn up in significant numbers.

I know.
We all painfully remember Celestalon’s tablet.
