So it was said that there will be scaling in wpvp so everyone would be in more or less same terms of engagement without gear or levels domination. It was so back at the start of BFA. Now why is it gone and what is the reason behind this? Never had any problem with that at the launch, and i was an active wpvp player for both sides.
Yeh I enjoyed scaling (+templates in Legion) âŠthough I thought they were only applicable in instanced PvP?

Well now it does⊠& as a result, high-end pveârs dominate PvP, Twinks are excluded from normal games & players canât really be competitive in PvP unless theyâre farming high-end PvE gear.
I kind of understand the lack of balance in wpvp (jungle rules / anything goes), but in instanced PvP -where things are supposed to be balanced, scaling/templates made a lot of sense.

Well, agreed, but i didnt feel the scaling in legion. Was pveing mostly thought, with rare encounters when my character got crubstomped by overly geared enemies. Didnt like templates in bgs\arenas thought.
I dont get why they stepped away from the âgear/level shouldnt matter, skill shouldâ. I mean before BFA they were saying it alot and did say that scaling is huge and will help revive the wpvp. Now we are where we began, pve dominates. Like so much addons before.
Also too bad gnomes got their unique 2h animations removed. Especially so for brew. We mourn that loss together.
Ilvl is scaled in pvp. Itâs not designed to create equality, just less insta death.
Doesnt seem like it at all. It was equalized back in the days of the launch. It is also equalized on the arena atm. What prevents from applying the very same rules into open world?
There is a slight pvp/wpvp ilvl scaling - not designed for equal fights. See twitter post from sep 2018 on pvp scaling, including fun diagram! Iâm unaware of any changes since he posted this.
