Is it in your opinion currently pointless to make a premade?
If yes, is that because of any content issue such as there not being any option to play as a premade in pvp, or is it because the rewards for doing so are missing?
Now, you’ve already answered this, and it is the latter, which is fine. There’s nothing wrong with that. But don’t pretend like you want challenging pvp when in fact you just want rewards for making a premade.
Your active pvp community is fluff, only fluff. Pug stomping loot hungry pigs. You can play premade vs premade until you get all blue. The content is there. If the interest isn’t, then your arent as dedicated as you claim
You missed the very first post, we would be queing premade bgs atm, if there was a queue. We tried multiple times, so we do obviously not care about the rewards.
Adding something that attracts players to actually queue premade would fix that issue.
As in p1, a lot of active premades, streamers, prominent pvp players all queued wsg premade. With p2 and the queue changes and AB rep being way easier to get through stv, this completely disappeared.
Also instead of putting words in my mouth, how about you answer my question? What’s your issue with an rbg queue?
They were all there to stomp pugs. What is it that you don’t understand? They were not a part of a big epic pvp community. They were there for epic pug stomping.
It is just P2, In my opinion less terrible than P1,(AB is way better BG than that stupid WSG-worst BG ever made) PvP wise. All that premade stuff was weird and with current pvp inbalance will be disaster, horde side already have 10min+ AB que, due to how much ally wants to play vs shamans and SP dominated BG. We are limited by level cap, rank cap etc. It is not end game. Game can not be balanced on leveling phases, it is understandable no need to explain it, we all see it. What PvP content you want more?- we had Ashenvale, we now have STV event, classic WOW had none… so you have more than nothing, and seems like every pvp event they add is … do not know how to say it, its kind of good as idea and terrible as a result. Yes ppl is quitting because of game getting boring fast, and the SoD community is simply weird. Look at all forums for example, posts mostly get trolled and not enough positive criticism at all. It is an MMORPG, how can Blizzard have to act? They act like they have to- the primary focus of the game always was and always will be PVE, so they try to balance and make that part fun firstly, which they did, because the specs who was never viable ago now can be played and even dominating at some stages. They said that they make everyone OP, so everyone is OP, and 1 shotting each other in PVP… and what you can do as PvP actually?- STV, AB, WSG, world pvp. I have no idea what more can we do? You want AB premade for fast farm Rep, if it is, just post that.
you’re making it sound like premade WSG was the end all be all of wow PvP when 9 times out of 10 you would just run the flag three times vs a full AFK PUG.
yeah awesome PvP man !
now it’s way more competitive and fair and I’m guessing that’s what you and your “community” don’t like. no more free rep, you actually have to PvP for it now
You either didn’t read, can’t comprehend or intentionally completely ignored the point.
At least you were able to spread some hate, well done!
Thank you for bumping my post though.
Add arenas to SoD. just try it out. New undiscovered PvP in classic wow. would be amazing to try it. Yes it will be unbalanced and people will whine but that doesnt matter.
Apparently the dedicated pvp players don’t want to face premades either or you would have queues popping.
Premades never wanted to fight premades, they wanted the fast reputation and later the fast honor.
You might be the exception to the rule but the vast majority of people don’t and that is why you don’t get queue pops. cause people want to queue 5man and stomp noobs rather than face a coordinated team.
You shouldn’t need an incentive to PvP if you genuinely enjoy playing it.
The incentive is fun bro.
The pvp balancing in SoD is more questionable than retail at this point.
Anyone that plays wow for “Serious dedicated pvp” aren’t playing SoD in the first place.
That’s a valid point and the reason why I’m not asking to bring back premade queues for random bgs, but to add rated battlegrounds or even arena as op suggested.
Also while it is true for me and some others that you don’t need an incentive to play, you do need people to play with and most people will only play if there is a reward. Just imagine how many people would be raiding if there was no loot. Diehard pvers might still raid to push logs etc, but the game would die since they would have a hard time finding groups. The same thing is happening with pvp atm.
Therefore we need a queue/gamemode or any type of content for people that seriously wanna play pvp.
I agree with the balancing issue, it’s a problem that persist all throughout wow for a long time now and call me crazy, but I had hopes that SOD might change that.
Balancing aside, I think it would be fun to play arenas or rbgs in SOD.
Unless there is some sort of reward from queueing them I don’t think you would be in much of a better place than you are currently with getting queues to pop.
People don’t desire for a sweaty game for no reward, some artificial rating with no title, reward, mount, gear won’t be a popular choice by the majority of the current SoD playerbase.
You need to encourage the average player to want to play the mode as much as the die hard player if you want queue times to actually be somewhat fast.
Only way i can see them being somewhat popular is if you got rid of the mandatory 10stack “Premade” element of it, gave RBGS a role check and an MMR and let people queue up either solo or full group and get paired with people of similar MMR with both teams actually having healers. I’m pretty sure i can speak for everyone that plays this game for pvp no healer games are miserable. People more incentivized to play the game just for fun and to pvp when they know they can actually pvp for longer than 4 seconds before dying.
I don’t care about facing a premade when i know the people on my team are only playing to pvp and try to win. Not just farming the path of least resistance for rep/honor. Yeah we might not be on comms but its not an automatic loss because of it. I know my team are competent if we are similar MMR then the skill level is relatively equal.
Arena i cant see working in SoD. The only people that would play it would be whatever is the most broken for their respective brackets. The class balance is just way to wide to actually be balanced around 3v3 and 2v2 for more than a handful of specs to actually have fun.
RBGs you can get around this, off meta specs will suffer but the rest of the team can shoulder the weight of the weak link. Arena you cannot. 45 second CC is not good for arena lol.
But what do u mean? Premade still exists and it’s awesome! Ooh… wait a minute, u guys are missing premade va pug stomp, eh? So not actual pvp got u there!
My crew and I almost exclusively do pvp and we are having a lot more fun since the change. Ofcourse queues are longer but that’s a small price to pay for fair match-ups, an actual challenge and real pvp games… but i guess that’s not what u really wanted?
Also STV can be awesome pvp if u are not a meta-slave sheep and rush blindly towards the Boss.
Ofcourse there could be more pvp activities! Would be awesome, i agree!
But the pvp options for REAL pvp players (not reward grind bots) are far better than phase 1
SoD already has an abnormal % of its content dedicated to PvP, probably the highest it has ever been in the history of WoW. I don’t know what you are talking about, I wish they just gave us some actual PvE content
Most people are not able to get 15 players together for the daily BG que
That’s why full premade is dead
Arena during low lvl would be a disaster
Due to the completely confusing skill ranks of the different classes as well as the completely excessive DPS due to the rune system and new SoD items, no balance is possible
I think it gets even wilder at lvl 50/60
Based on the BG’s you can also see that the majority of people jump on every fotm
You can just play SoD and in the end you will probably realize that Classic is better just staying Classic
Yeah I got your point.
The only PvP you enjoyed in P1 was farming PUGs with premades and now that you can’t do it anymore you’re unhappy and you’re threatening Blizz to unsub like a 5 year old if the change isn’t reverted.
Did I miss anything?
This, STV is a travesty. Class balance is dead, BG queues take forever.
Rep grind is no fun if you need to wait an hour to get into a BG, STV event is just an AOE mess that has nothing to do with pvp what soo ever.
Imho BGs are the way the game should go in terms of pvp and then youve got the openworld player created fun. But overall it shouldnt be soo cancerous to achieve your plans in terms of rep or honor.
RBG is a good idea, or just have a fame system where each unique kill on a player puts you higher on the board and have these infamity boards with an option to place bounties on players perhaps ( this is already a thing on server discords)
Also for the love of god, DONT PUT ARENAS IN CLASSIC!!!
Arenas ruined pvp in later expansions, the game was never designed around 2v2, 3v3 or 5v5 class balance. Each class had its unique role, its strenghts and weaknesses. The runes rn are disrupting that hard. And blizzard has to adress this cause its a giant mess atm.
Its fine making certain classes and specs more viable etc, but you need to trim the dmg outputs or introduce some permanent player buff that adresses this burst vs player dmg balancing it out. Soo that classes are still viable and fun to play in pve but more balanced in pvp
