So my friend is new to wow and I have been helping him.
I just noticed that while he is lvl 25 he has lvl 10-15 gear from dungeons and exile reach. Shouldnt quests in BfA zones give gear or are we just dumb
Are you questing through BFA… Then yeah there isn’t much gear loot in dungeons. Not even when you hit 50 or can go HC 
I got far better amount of gear taking chromie time and questing TBC and doing TBC dungeons, because you also get satchel with loot there… you only get gold in BFA because you cannot get Azerite while leveling.
So I would suggest going TBC through Chromie. Dungeon queues are short too

Well I sugges to do only questing then, because hardly anything drops in BFA dungeons it seems 
I just dinged 50 on this one and I only think that I gotten ONE thing through doing dungeons in BFA, so I just dont.

Problem is no gear , if it wasnt for me he wouldnt been able to do some quests. My question is do quests give gear since I didnt see any quest that does for now
Doing lvl 25 mobs in lvl 10 gear is not exactly great 
yeah bfa doesnt reward a lot of gear as rewards but its usually enough to get by.

Dungeons are hit-and-miss loot, while questing always guarantees you gear somewhere down the line. Not every quest does, but end-of-chapter ones and major ones do for sure.

That is mostly for the end of questchain.
I don’t really think that Blizzard thought this through. New players HAVE to level in BFA, yet they are unable to get the azerite gear till they are 50.
BFA is the current maxlevel zone, and is all about the Azerite gear = new players doesn’t get very much gear.
yes, of course do quests give gear. its just at a certain interval. like, at the end of a quest chain you get an azerite piece or something.
not really rare but not in abundance either. admittedly its poorly implemented.
Its not that they dont get azerite gear. Its that they dont get any gear XD
He gets almost killed just by pulling 2-3 mobs by accident and them dismounting him

Drustvar served me fine with gear, BUT… even then its when you do whole zone you get nice matching set. I guess all zones are like that. Just need to … start going and doing and some gear comes.
What class is your friend playing? I have been leveling quite a lot in Classic/Outlands zones, and not every mob pull is a cakewalk.
Not to mention that any gear reward which would involve a azerite piece now only rewards gold till you hit 50, so the loot pool in BFA is actually rather small for new players, compared to something like… well every other expansion where you almost get it thrown in your neck.
Very fuc**** poor. Those are new players they dont know how to play their class properly especially at low lvls. If I wasnt helping I kinda doubt he would manage to do quests in areas where mobs are grouped tightly
yeah, it can suck a bit. maybe you can replace some equip with crafted ones if nothings working. 
Yeah as soon as he gets mats ill give him some relics
