Where would you most like your Neighbourhood - housing fun post

Curious what zones, areas of zones, towns, cities, etc would you like your neighbourhood to be?

While we are having only two neighbourhoods at launch, we will have more in the future.

However beyond those, I hope at some point they would open up cities, and locations in zones that look good where players can either have neighbourhood or join the NPC towns, villages and cities

Winterspring… you know the tallest mountain there? I want my house on the peak of it, away from everyone and everything, with just the sound of the wind.
And I’ll ring of peace down the mountain everyone approaching by saying “here’s the ring of piss… off!”

Ashenvale, I’ve always liked the enchanted woods vibe from the night elf zones.

I hope they do more anyway as I’m not a big fan of the human elwynn forest place.

I’m actually curious how would a neighbourhood located in a city like Stormwind, Ironforge, Silvermoon or Suramar look like. Especially more shady areas, like Stormwind’s Old Town, Forlorn Cavern in Ironforge or Murder Row in Silvermoon.

A cozy hut in Nagrand. Simple.

…for me it will always be on one of the floating islands with water flowing from it in Nagrand

Netherstorm
In one of those eco-domes

Teldrassil or a zone similar to it, considering what happened. I grew up watching my brother play a night elf in Warcraft 3, among other things, but the night elves were always my favourites. Living in a place like theirs would be a dream. IRL too, but I’ll settle for the game for now.

My favourite zones in wow:

Remote zones

  • Ashenvale - Odil’aran end
  • Azsuna - by the El’dranil Shallows near the ruined temple of Elune - now if we could do those buildings in pristine state - yum
  • Eversong Woods - some of those new pics are gorgeous - I’m not sure I’d want to live in the City though.
  • Shadowmoon Valley -WoD - somewhere near Karabor - it’s so nice there.
  • Tirisfal Glades cemetry
  • Lost Isles - Kezan

I like both the area of the zone and the architectural style there, so if i make my house there, I’d like to be able to choose the style of the buildings there

Cities:

  1. Suramar - I’d have a home not far form Ly’leth Lunastre, although the Court of Stars doesn’t sound so bad.
  2. Shattrath in Telador - really nice
  3. Auchindouin
  4. Lordaeron Ruins and the Undercity
  5. Valdrakken
  6. Mechagon
  7. Dazar’alor or ATal’Dazar

It occurs to me, that blizzard could reward the architectural style of the zones you go to, and sections of the zones you got to as a reward for questing in them. IF the place is in ruins, they only need to bring up the non-ruined file of the the place and then touch it up. Odil’Aran is in ruins, I don’t want to build ruins off course, I want night elven marble architectural buildings that fit their style… however in Astraanar, I want the rural type of buildings with those colourings - not any other.

Ashenvale, hands-down.

I loved the atmosphere there (Pre-Cataclysm, anyway), it was exactly what i imagined Night elf lands to be like, and it was amazing.

…which is why i’m rather sore about Blizzard destroying literally all of it to puff up the Horde and Deathwing (That unsightly volcano in Ashenvale we do about 5 quests on…)

My hope for housing is to be able to make a place like Silverwind refuge (Again, pre-cataclysm), it was so serene and beautiful.

Drustvar, it’s still my favourite zone.

Tirisfall glades or duskwood
