Where's the Ability Tracker?

Hello,

it was said that in the new UI, there will be an ability tracker a la weak aura. Is that feature available?

What do you want to track?
Procs, buffs, debuffs?

Im not aware of anything like this bein implemented , and unless they copy pasted whole WA addon i would still use that over anything they implement cuz it wont have half of stuff WA has.

The new UI includes a design that is similar to what Weak Auras does, letting you track important abilities for your class or external buffs.

After taking a look at it, it seems that they were never fully planning to go out with it either what we have right now is scuffed and by reading it they say one thing but what they implement is another thing in my opinion looking at blizzard’s perspective they did exactly what they said they would do is that you can center your debuff frames and buff frames in the center to keep track of your uptimes lol… Yeah sorry man you are better off getting the legit weak aura still even I use it.

Still, yeah the new UI is a low cost production it seems. Never really put much effort into it from the get go.

How do you define “ability tracker”?

  1. Showing a log of which abilities you recently used, so that if you record videos it’s easy to see what you were doing?
  2. Showing the remaining cool-down of abilities, either on action bar buttons, or as separate UI element, e.g. an icon or a progress bar?
  3. Indicating that abilities should be used because they are off cool-down, e.g. by making an action bar button glow, or showing some text message?

The patch 10.0 Blizzard UI doesn’t include anything new related to the above mentioned things. For 2 and 3, you’re still best off just creating WeakAuras.

Yeah, just being able to track buffs/debuffs/cds and place them somewhere. I currently use WA.

Anyway, seems like it isn’t to come soon.
