Which caster can solo delves?

Looking for an alt for my DH
Have been having quite the fun with my DH, and have gotten to level 8 delves solo.

So looking for something different, and maybe a caster would be a fun alternative to my DH

So which classes could solo delves?

Thanks!

Only went as a t5 with a 575 shadow priest but did it without breaking a sweat

This^^. 2 Defensive CDs and the Voidwalker tanking. He gets pretty beat up in +7 and higher but you can just resummon him if he dies. You can’t resummon your health. Bring Healthpots and use your Healthstone. Use your teleport to avoid taking damage and kite a bit.

Taking Voidwalker means you have no interrupt but it’s manageble and safer actually. Let him take the hits. Heal him with Health Funnel.

Overall it’s not as easy as with my plate-clad warrior but very good for a squishy caster.

Just did a tier 8 as moonkin.

Seems to be just fine for it.

What spec?
Just did a +6 as demo, and that was quite easy using the felguard as tank

so far DH felt superior.

im having trouble doing 7s as destro, as voidwalker cant hold agro and gets 3shot by bosses, will be trying demo in the evening tho

shammy, priest, for example.

Just tried a +5 with a shaman, and that does not goes well… NO problem with +6 with a demo warlock, really need something with a lot of defence and heal to go far

Destruction, obviously (duh :P) .
Loved Demo in Legion with the Metamorph and all but I am not a fan of an “army of imps master” as is the current spec, so Desto it is now. You just have to go slower, pulling at most 2 strong mobs or 3 weaker ones at a time and it all goes smooth at +7 for me (did it 5-6 times). Haven’t tried +8 yet but I don’t think it will be any different.

From what I hear Demo is ~ the same as Destro survivability-wise now, so it should be possible with Demo, too. Slow and methodical, there is minimal risk of dying. Unlike my warrior who randomly insta-gibs from full health since the patch…

Warlock absolutely can, I was gearing through solo delves and now feel ok even in T11. Doing it as affliction. Dots are great as you continue to do damage even while focusing on mechanics. For the most challenging encounters interrupt is absolutely needed, so the choice is grimoire of sacrifice+dog, dog alone is not good enough as it can die. Pet tanking is good, but it mostly simplifies the content which is already not too hard (and it can glitch some boss fights making them zero challenge, but those are usually not too hard even without it if you can avoid all aoes).

If the goal is to do everything, even the hardest fight solo, I would go with dog+sacrifice from the get go, to get used to it during less demanding content.
Void is fun on some bosses, but if you can do them on sacrificed dog, switching to void will be easy, if you start relying on the void and get used to it, you will hit a wall, as in high tiers there are heralds, bosses and even monsters with must-interrupt casts (they are unavoidable and can deal tens millions of damage, so not solvable with cd/tank alone).

On monsters you can use mortal coil or even fear as interrupt, but bosses/heralds and quest-target monsters are cc immune.

The most damage with and without pets comes from casts and it looks like the logic there is to prefer player as a target even if taunted.

Warlock in Demo spec is decent, for the harder bosses just make Brann a healer and they become much easier.

my experience as elemental shammy was difficult
the cast time and low procs on lb make it hell

mobility is king.
or pet classes

so Druid, mage, hunter, warlock will be easy

Demo lock is good solo, pet tanks well and if u dont pull multiple casters its ok, just be careful with the 1shot cone attacks.

Frost mage is fun and easy, prolly the best caster experience there is atm.

Both my casters are doing 8s with 590 ilvl

+1 vote for warlock

BM hunter with Brann healing makes it fairly easy. While the pet does take a lot of damage at times, the healing potions that Brann throws around heals me and the pet so makes it easier to do big pulls. Can stay pretty far away from bosses and their aoe attacks.

i cleared tier 10 as a blood DK ( i know this is for casters )
but i only died once… because i forgot to avoid an obvious attack

ill likely go solo Zek tomorrow morning for the mount

Warlock and Hunter has it super easy… as well as frost mage

Shadow priest with a m+ spec and fade ftw and bran takes all the dmg lol. i have tried on shammy ele and evoker both to hard for me but t8 on sp was fine.

I was farming t8s on a mage with relative ease.

I did T8s solo as an elemental shaman (also as a resto shaman). Farseer ST spec works fine for delves. You have an earth elemental, blood lust, a stun, a short ranged interrupt, can off-heal, have a big absorb shield every three minutes, etc.

Still more fun and faster in a group.
