Which class needs a complete rework the most

For me its priest. All 3 specs feels awful to play… i mained priest for many years, and theres a reason why im never touching it again unless its revamped

Aug Evoker. It has been hammered down to be a DPS spec with some buffing minor buffing capability, should be remade into a Tank, altho it’s worth noting that Evoker in general needs tuning tho.

I think Rogues and Warriors need complete Reworks

Rogue is one of the most popular fantasy classes, and barely anybody’s playing them, because it’s not fun I think.

Warriors are in a weird spot. They have so much mobility and their buttons don’t feel satisfying. Their class fantasy is also a bit of a mess

I can relate to that. It’s one of two classes I really don’t enjoy playing at all (the other is druid).

But you know… There’s people who DO enjoy them, so, I don’t want them changed for my sake. I already have the class/spec that I love more than any other and could literally play until they pull the plug on WoW for good. That of course being BM Hunter.

So with that said: They better not change BM Hunter in any major way!

Maybe not an entire class but Brewmaster needs a massive rework.

Sin(assassin) rogue feels fine. Like its flow and ease to understand
Sub…well I like the shadow dance thingy and stuff but feels a bit hollow and energy starved since you are worse than useless when shadow dance is on cd.
Outlaw feels like a whack a mole spec. Woulnt mind some predictability and flow instead of pressing whatever pops up.

Demonology Warlock,

I miss being a demon as Warlock and DPS the heck out of everything.
They can make a 4th spec if they really want to keep the BM hunter design.

Tanking as a Demon was crazy fun in MoP.
But yeah, let demo locks turn into a demon again. We even got better models after Legion so it is a crime against Warlocks.

Sure we got Demon Hunters but it’s not the same.

Augmentation Evoker,

Needs to be reworked to a tank spec at this point. Make it cool and let evokers turn into the beefy Drakonid.
Since they don’t know or understand what to do with Aug, the most logical thing to do would be to change it into a tank spec and make it unique AF.

  • Evoker = Aug. I wish get “magic melee dps”.
But, or Tank power (since devastation feel boring and unfunny as ranger)
  • Druid = Feral. Remove damn combat points!!! It’s annyoing. Make again great for pve.
(Reason I saw feral was popular for pvp)

It’s Rogue for me. Rogues are my go-to in any game I play, including tabletop - but WoW’s Rogue feels like no one has actually critically looked at its design in years, instead only tinkering around the edges.

Rogue is a miserable experience in Delves compared to any other melee.

Aug,Warrior,Rogue,

Augmentation Evoker: Incredibly reliant on how others perform, since your individual output matters very little. On top of that, Blizzard clearly has no idea how to balance it,they literally had to drop a guillotine on the spec just to make it borderline unplayable.

Warrior: Feels useless in so many dungeon comps. It lacks meaningful utility and brings average-at-best damage. There’s just zero incentive to bring a Warrior when Retribution Paladins and Death Knights exist.

Rogue: The DPS rotation is obnoxious, especially for Outlaw. It feels clunky, awkward, and the entire damage profile is one big “if” statement. It’s just not fun to play at all.

Totally agree

Bring back MoP combat

Make Aug evoker a tank spec.

As a rogue main, Sub main even, what I suggest is put Brann in dps mode and snipe the mobs tactically, one pack after another. Sneak atound those you don’t need.
The goal is to kill them as fast as possible with your cd playstyle before they kill you. That’s what I do and it works perfectly

rogue, feral, dk

Feral Druids, I mean Feral is strong at the moment, but that was never the reason why we were playing Feral in the first place.

Rogue is definitely fun, at least Assassination is and especially Outlaw.
I think it’s the complexity of the class, the high skill ceiling and the lack of visuals that puts people off.
At least for me.

For me its usually the chaotic nature of outlaw which puts me off. While I enjoy outlaw itself. After a few runs, I cant feel my fingers anymore cause I was playing a “whack a mole” on my keyboard and just bashing whatever lights up at the moment.

  1. Evoker - They are a mess. Aug is bouncing between OP and useless with nothing in between, and Preservation - regardless of tuning - is too dependant on the group cooperating to properly function in PUGs. For Aug, I don’t even know how to fix the spec, the entire notion of a support spec does not have a place in this game. Probably just make it a tank spec, or fall back to another DPS spec if all else fails. For Preservation, it’s difficult. The general idea of a “targetless” healing spec is pretty cool, I loved that in Wildstar. But WoW’s telegraphing is just not at a point where a concept like that would reliably work. We still have people running out of Healing Rain or Healing Mushroom Patch
  2. Disc Priest - Priest struggles with an identity crisis due to the unique dual healing specs dilemma since vanilla. Holy is fine from a design PoV, technically, but Disc is in a constant flip-flop between useless and OP. We’ve already had the tuning nightmare with absorbs (and mitigation) before, having an entire spec revolve around this feels
  3. Monk: Brewmaster is incredibly convoluted and feels a lot more difficult to play than any other tank spec. BrM is in dire need of a simplifying rework to make the spec more approachable. The Stagger mechanic is fun to play around, but I feel there are so many things to track besides Stagger that it becomes a bloated mess.
Windwalker on the other hand traditionally scales poorly with gear, as secondary stats ourside of Vers do very little to improve the damage. I don’t play WW (because I’m bad at it) at all, so I can’t give any valuable input, but it does need a talent rework to improve scalability. Mistweaver is fine from a gameplay and tuning perspective, but it feels like there is only one viable spec with very little (if any) talent diversity.

That would be my list of classes/specs

Druid - priest - mage - lock fan here.

Only classes I have enjoyed for years. What classes are your favourites? (asking because it might point at playstyle differences, which might be a good thing - variation that reaches a wider audience).

BM Hunter is my favorite, by a LARGE margin.

Well, yeah. That’s why I added that I wouldn’t want any class reworks for my sake. I’m happy with BM Hunter and other classes don’t really interest me.
