So 11.1.5 didn’t include any class changes. Maybe 11.1.7 will though. I’m wondering which classes/specs will get significant changes.
Which classes/specs do you guys think need changes the most?
My top 3 in need of bigger changes:
-
Rogue. I think this class has gotten the least attention from Blizz in the last year and only few people still play them. All specs feel clunky or annoying to play in some way. Assa does bad damage in M+ if tank chain pulls, Sub needs too many macros, Outlaw is too fast and RNG (last play in DF, maybe it’s better now?).
-
Evoker. Pres is ultra convoluted and the range limitation is super annoying, so hardly anyone plays them. Augmentation and the whole Support role is a failed experiment. I guess Dev is fine?
-
Shadow priest. It feels so bad to play in M+. I think some small changes like removing the cooldown of Shadow Crash could fix a lot.
What are you hoping for? Think .7 will have class reworks, or will we have to wait until 11.2.0?

What needs to change about resto druid? I mained one in Shadowlands and enjoyed the spec back then. I heard their HoTs felt really weak in TWW S1 but that got improved in S2.
Rogue is in a really bad place right now.
DK or rogue. DK have been playing the same since I started playing so since BFA, I would say quite a few years ago and I haven’t seen major changes these last expansions.
Yeah, I was thinking of putting DK in my top 3. The only DK spec I’ve played at least a little bit is BDK and I hate how many CDs they have, but otherwise they seem kinda cool. I think they’re a prime candidate for some pruning.
I am playing outlaw currently and I find it lots of fun, though it does look like it’s a bit of a mess. I mean, it feels like lots of skills have been thrown into a single spammy class and then they’ve been made kind of working all together, but it’s far from being polished and fluent as a design, if you get what I mean. The hero specs might as well not exist, I don’t get the fantasies, they don’t change much and they lack a strong identity (aside MAYBE for deathstalker, but honestly just because of the name)

It’s a tradition to rework Shadow Priest almost every expansion.
Full rework of unholy and frost DK
People don’t play it because it’s difficult, but I don’t think it should be reworked at all. It’s fun, interesting, and engaging. They should just allow bigger range in dungeons, since the limitation was mostly meant for raids, and some dungeons are really annoying to heal this season. (Rookery and last boss in Mechagon, for example)
It’s not that hard to heal on evoker, you just have to stand next to the ranged.
People should just choose other healers if they don’t like evokers instead of trying to rework it. (same with druids…) Or maybe just add more healers and tanks instead of reworking styles and trying to make every healer feel same.
I think they should rework Holy Priests though, give few aoe abilities. They should rework Affliction as well. And work on DH threat

Don’t know about the whole class but affliction could use a rework to get back to be a dot spec and not whatever abomination it is now
well for sure Aug evoker - the 2nd one would be BM monk, affliction locks could use some love too as they just dont fit at all in m+ in their current state.
Nope. Im against that until they remove PI and severely nerf Mind Soothe.
The rework they have to do is Oracle Priest. And they have to make a choice:
- Keep the shields, but severely nerf the capability to heal.
- Give shields to other healers.
- Completely rework Oracle Priest and remove its shields.

The most obvious ones are resto druid and aug evokers IMO.
Holy Priest | Oracle rework needed.

Holy priest. To be functional in m+.

Only reason not to rework rogues would be the low number of players. Maybe it’s already too late for the class. DK has more than twice the number of players and a rework would be more impactful.
Monks were very unpopular for a long time, but Blizz basically reworked MW and WW. I’m maining WW this season and it is one of the most fun melee specs in the game right now. Whenever I’m in Dornogal, I see quite a lot of monks. Maybe they are extra popular this season because of the amazing season’s transmog.
I remember rogues being popular in the early days of WoW and think their player numbers only started dropping since Shadowlands because Blizz neglected them.
Technically they should just rework the class/specs that have the lowest play rate.
Cause those must be the ones that need change since they aren’t popular
The dev team only plays 2012 shadow priest not 2025.-
