Hello. I can’t decide which first alt to exp. I have the emblems for the full heirloom set and I still don’t know what to play. I’m thinking about rogue, shaman, priest and mage. What is most needed and fun in pvp and pve ?
Shadow priest has been very fun.
I was surprised that how little you have to drink once you have gotten some essentional talents.
I also did a rogue up to 55.
It was also enjoyable.
Take leather shoulders and chest with agility and use it on all melee dps and tank or hunt and take cloth for all casters or healers. With just two of those u can get all classes up without buying mail or plate sets.
U can take PvP heirloom shoulders i think for 200 stone keeper shards in WIntergrasp also there are weapons there u buy for Stone Keeper
What is your main?
Rogue is great for PVP.
Priests are needed for raids.
Mage has so many cool abilities. Blizzard (the ability) is just great (leveling one at the moment).
I think every class are fun with Heirloom, but 100x funnier on Cataclysm
Can you put max level enchants on heirlooms in cata?
Kinda sucks how you can’t use any decent enchants for weapon atm.
Make a Rogue with full heirlooms including bow. Enchant chest with +4 stats and give both swords fiery weapon. Youre gonna 1 shot every mob to like lvl 15-20. If you really want to have a fun time up to lvl 60 then buy alot of gear from AH. i spent around 1k on gear and enchants from 1-60 and lvled so insanely fast.
I don’t know, i never enchanted my heirlooms.
But there is 2 more items and then your char is so strong man this is so fun.
You think it’s fun to be strong, But can’t spend 2 minutes to buy enchant scrollls?
This makes no sense imo, Because enchants makes you stronger
Would be pretty bland to level a Warrior or paladin without crusader for example
Yes, but i just forget that we could and because i use heirlooms one time every 6 years ?
Enchant scaling was added in MoP. Currently the only ‘OP’ enchant for weapons is crusader for warr/pala.
Originally in WoTLK you could enchant your heirloom shoulders, but they’ve restricted that now.
I would say shaman, closely followed by rogue, is the class that benefits most from levelling with heirlooms. Levelling either of those without heirlooms is extremely boring and can be quite difficult.
I found myself in the same situation after capping the main ( mage ) and having done all reputations and gearing ups.
What I did was create one of each class, and took a day per week to level up to 15 ( access to dungeons ) and leave it parked at an Inn gathering experience. Give each of them 2x Frostweave Bags and 100gold. If I’d spam battlegrounds I’d save honor to buy a sabertooth mount first, then keep saving for L70 weapons first, gear set after.
This will only answer your question indirectly, but my point is that you can give a fair try to each class and decide what you like the most. Your time won’t be lost as you now have some characters you can come back and invest on.
Used the methods above to level a priest ( which I have been raiding with, ) a hunter ( I barely play, ) a death-knight ( which I also barely play, ) and still haven’t used my character boost. I have a bunch of L10 characters waiting to get picked up, all with heirlooms and ready to go, but I might wait for a certain joyous buff to be active again.
Hope this helps --!
Well… that sucks.
Many years of waiting ahead of us then
Buy cloth chest+shoulders and try leveling all chars to see which one is more fun … the only thing you want is that 10% bonus from heirlooms, and they will be better than 90% of stuff you get while leveling anyway and its only 2 slots …
Actually ZG Enchant works, but you need to be lvl 55 for the effect to take place.
Which is what I said. ‘Restricted’.
Sigh… we get it. You want cata and can’t wait. We understand. No need to invade a non cata thread and push your opinion on this.
Wrath is still in full swing, for at least another year. So shush
Ok billy
