I’m planning to play all 12 classes in Shadowlands, however I will only “main” four of them.
Because of this, I wanted to set up some goals in how I want the setup to be:
- There needs to be (2) of every profession and (4) Engineers total
- Since there are 4 covenants, I need to put 3 classes in each covenant and they can’t be of the same armor type
- I can only use each Race a maximum of (2) times, no Allied Races allowed
What I have come up with so far is the following
(4) main characters
Orc Shaman - Alchemy / Engineering
Undead Priest - Tailoring / Engineering
Troll Warrior - Blacksmithing / Engineering
Blood elf Rogue - Jewelcrafting / Engineering
Primary alts
Tauren Druid - Herbalism / Mining
Blood elf Demon Hunter - Enchanting / Inscription
Goblin Hunter - Skinning / Leatherworking
There are now 4 engineers and (1) of every other profession, so the rest will be the following
Troll Mage - Tailoring / Enchanting
Pandaren Monk - Skinning / Leatherworking
Orc Warlock - Alchemy / Inscription
Tauren Paladin - Blacksmithing / Jewelcrafting
Undead Death Knight - Herbalism / Mining
Now for the covenants, here is what I thought of to be the best thematically, and since I must distribute (3) classes per covenant and none can have the same armor type, this is what I came up with.
Kyrian
Priest
Monk
Paladin
Venthyr
Rogue
Death Knight
Warlock
Night Fae
Shaman
Mage
Druid
Necrolord
Warrior
Hunter
Demon Hunter
What are your opinions on this, and how would you make the list different?
Would love to hear your opinions on this and re-think about how I will set these up, there is still some time until Shadowlands
Venthyr
Marksman Hunter
moust raids are 1 single target boss fights so the venthyr ablity is a 470% damage bleed on boss is best alternative .
it is also good for BG pvp.
Kyrian
Marksman Hunter
World questing u can easly dot up multitargets fits well with volly
moust usefull in arenas allowes u shoot enemy tru the pillars .
Necrolord
Survaival Hunter
gives a good shield while fighting melee …
Night Fae
beast mastery
Which is simcraft will say to play in.
it will probly sim whats deals moust damage as alweys
And ofc u need profession thats alow u crafting empty legendary for main at least, coz its cost on market will be too much, especially hight ilvl. I will switch it ofc in SL, coz u have no alternatives.
I’m just going to say that if you want that many engineers you are going to need a lot more miners! I know you said no Allied Races but if you had a HMT then they would be great as a miner. Also don’t forget fishing and cooking. The HMT could fish and a Pandren for cooking.
Skinning and Leatherworking are ranked as S teir proffesions
I get that most people want to roll what’s best dps-wise, however I think it doesn’t really matter too much unless you’re the top 0.1%
The list I made was made mostly because I wanted to do all professions, all classes and all covenant per armor type.
However, from what Nimrhys said, I might actually make 4 more characters to get all those armor types per covenant and by doing that I might as well make a HMT and Pandaren for the profession bonuses since I probably need alot more ore etc.
Finally, a worthy opponent
Our battle will be legendary!

Got an Alliance army planned?
You mean horde? i got 13 max level chars on alliance, 1 horde druid
And yes, yes i am
Ah I see. I keep meaning to make one but I just end up with elves and vulpera
Maybe in pre-patch I will level an army on a different server just for lols.
I do plan to eventually have 16 characters just to unlock all the gear, even if I don’t particularly like it (looking at you Fae plate and Necro leather) but having made countless lists trying to plot it I leave it for my whims to decide. 2 years to do all that.
9 Vulperas, 2 taurens & 1 blood elf
1 being highmountain

Enchanting and Bastion can be the hot thing, especially early on.
You know how you have put classes with covenants for themes… you didn’t consider races as well. Undead shadow priest with the Kyrians? MUH THEME.
Makes it near impossible to do though. I can’t find a single race that would go to Kyrians on the Horde. (imo)
Just as the Night Fae would want you to do.

Yeah, I thought about it alot.
I took inspiration from Alonsus Faol, an Undead Priest who uses the light to help others, even though it hurts him!

For this, my Female Undead Death Knight still retains her memories from her past and picks flowers in order to keep her sanity, keeps her from going rampage and killing everyone and everything!

Not sure about classes, but I’m thinking Engineering & Blacksmithing in Gryffian. Herbalism & Alchemy in Night Puff, Leatherworking & Skinning in Slytherlords and of course enchanting and Tailoring in Revenclaw.
