As I’m approaching rapidly 60 (too rapidly in my opinion), I wonder which should be the best covenant for me as a person who loves the story.
Feel free to share your thoughts with minor spoilers. Are we going to see more quests, more characters and which characters?
Hard to tell since their main quests are locked behind renown level. Might have all been unlocked in the beta though. Someone from the beta might be able to tell you more.
Everybody has different taste, somebody will say story X is the best and somebody say story Y.
Ayes, but from what I’m told, it’s similar to Legion quest lines. Instead of classes now we have covenants.
The question is whether I should level four toons to max to see all covenants. That sounds annoying. And I don’t want to see the whole story again four times 
You don’t need to play the main story again on any alts. There’s an option to start in endgame mode once you’ve finished it all with 1 character.
That includes chosing a covenant on alts as soon as they enter Shadowlands.
Most intriguing! How does it work? You get a free boost at 60?
No, you still have to level them but world quests, endgame dailes, covenant quests, etc, etc… are all available straight away.
Excellent way of work! So… I can jump on my alt straight for covenant. Will it work on Alliance alt though?
Works for both factions, yes. It’s tied to an achievement. Once that achievement is completed by finishing the main story once it’s unlocked account wide, all servers, both factions.

You pick up a quest called Threads of Fate when you first appear in Oribos to enable it on an alt.
