Which Elven race do the Draenei fit best with?

So far in wow, they have had a strong ties with Night elves, Humans and Blood elves (despite the rocky start)

IF you were to ignore the whole faction thing forcing fighting, who do you think the Draenei would most naturally get on with?

For me: Normal Draenei fit the night elves (incl Nightborne) well - ancient civilization, love of righteousness, also wielding light and void (as night elves clearly do from WotA trilogy and Night warrior quests).

Lightforged Draenei - fit with the BLood elves better, the whole light thing, no void elements, they could really share that.

The void elves might be a step too far, but Velen accepted Alleria completely 7.3, but then so does Turalyon, leader of the Lightforged… so. There is that.

If blizzard didn’t force all alliance races to be human centric, i’d have said the Draenei fit with the night elves a lot better - despite their religion being closer to the humans than the night elves currently - until we found out that Elune created the Naaru, which if proven to be true, would put the two races much closer.

They get along well with Blood Elves.

I’d disagree with them fitting with Nightborne. Night Elves, sure, but they’ve had zero interaction with Nightborne.

I would say the High Elves. They’re like Blood Elves but doesn’t seems to be such arrogant and where never influenced by fel too.

For me the night elves and the draenei share this purer ideal, I really thought the Sisterhood of Elune and the Draenei would get on like house on fire, but all the attention quickly stepped over to the humans - but I suspect that is more because most of the activity we saw in the following expansions had humans at the centre, so the draenei were often pictured there, we never heard the night elf stories.

When Legion came, they had an opportunity in 7.3, but chose to use Turalyon and Alleria instead of night elves with Velen. However Illidan and Velen got on quite well in the end.

I think the cross faction taboo thing is why we didn’t see much of the blood elves and Liadrin with the draenei or the lightforged. Such a shame, i’d have loved to see more of that too.

So far, but given that the nightborne are largely skinnier night elves from 1 city, I’d predict they’d get on just as well with them, although the holy priest spiritual element is missing from the nighborne, just like it is from the druids and the highborne too… really it is the large influence of the priesthood of Elune that makes them fit with the night elves so well -

So, you’ve convinced me

Ever since Velen suggested that Elune might be a Naaru I imagine they’re slightly less receptive to the Draenei. Their views on the light are very different.

Very interesting… didn’t occur to me to count high elves, but you’re right they could get on quite well. Void elves too, seeing the whole shadow void Auchinduin element of the void elves and they been friendly too with Alleria every bit a hero in the handling and defeat of the Legion…

hmmm.

Ah, ture, but then in comes the MAther of Naaru’s obsession with the night elves and the hint that Eluen might be the creator of the Naaru and possibly the void lords to… would reverse that.

I’m convinced after seeing the Auchindouin priests, the Night elves uisng the void via thepain misstresses and the night warrior ritual both in pre-sundering times and in 8.1.5, that the void while can be maddening and corrupting isn’t quite the embodiment of evil in the warcraft universe, more like the void lords are operating with malicious and evil intent, but the two powers or basically 2 sides of the same coin.

What?

Not in the slightest. Lightbulbies are actually completely For the Light, while Blood Elves serve the Lich Queen and are complete hypocrites.

By the way, why exactly do you want to “pair” Dreanei with Elves? We’re fine on our own, Draenei and Lightbulbies, there’s no room for fairies.

Minus the whole current insanity with the Sylvanas the blood elves don’t seem to be realising, she is already twisted, and yet Lor’themar would back Sylvanas over Alleria.

But aside from that, as TBC showed, also continued in WoD, they actually make good freinds too.

of all the Azeroth races, i think they and the elves get each other most, Elves have typically advanced magical civilziations, both night elves and thalassian elves as seen by history and current state.

Draeeni share the purple thing which night elves lore huge. Visiting Shadowmoon valley could easily have been a night elf zone as it was a Draenei, and the Auchindouin and Taladar reminded me so much of the blood elves whose Light aspect is currently seriously being emphasised.

Sure they ahve differences like elves do Well (well of eternity/Moonwell/NIghtwell for night elvs and Sunwell for high elves) while Draenei do Crystals… but i think they gel well.

are you comparing the hight of eredar society with primitive troll born elves we was the TRUE magic society when their ancestors was still learning how to light a fire from the mogu

You forgot all land is elven land

But her insanity is a thing. Which makes this discussion into “what ifs”.

These were Draenor Draenei, not Lightbulbies.

I beg to differ. Draenei would get along the best with like-minded people, which means - humans most of all. The Light and all that.

I don’t understand that. You mean skin colour?

They were completely Draenei zones, keep your vile Elves away from my glorious Eredar.

Kalibas, please.

No.

We will not form a Kaldorei Empire again with you. We just won’t.

Because Alleria almost destroyed/corrupted the Sunwell. Of course he’d rather back the other Sister. Though he’ll likely side with the eventual rebellion, it’s just a matter of waiting.

Honestly I wish we could wipe our hands of the entire Windrunner family, they’re nothing but degenerates and traitors.

It was not forgotten, I don’t post stuff that is untrue

I thought you just brought a few examples what he could post.

Ah good point! Any other suggestions?

What does Night Elves ike to eat, which cooking recipes could they have. The list is probably endless ^^

Their self righteousness about the light fits best with the humans not elves. Just look at the relationship with Anduin and Velen.

But is that the natural state? We kn ow when it comes to the Alliance, everything is about relating to humans, and humans taking the centre stage of all alliance activity means every alliance race has to relate to humans, and we don’t see how they relate to each other except in rare circumstances outside their starting zone.

It’s like the only development time they truly have for the alliance side is to tell from the human standpoint, and so consequently we see all the Draenei - human relations, while the draenei night elven ones seem to be absent.
