as most of my remix army gets close to 70, i thought i’d look at my older toons that are 50. 1 dungeon seems to give just under 2.5 lvls with full rested, so should only need 4-5 dungeons for 50-60.
however, the queue times seem bad. i am currently sitting at 67 minutes queued as an alliance tank in BFA dungeons (the reccommended). i think its normal as they seem to give 4 times as much xp for the first daily completion over heroic. i thought everything was cross realm and cross faction now, so even at 2am it shouldn’t take this long as a tank.
is BfA the wrong expansion to pick? surely there is a least 4 other players out there out of the 2m eu players or however many there are.
on a second note, am i right in thinking its not worth lvling past 60 as TWW will bring lvl 70’s down to 60? or is it even worth lvling old toons at all before TWW?
Naw, there won’t be a level squish in TWW. The new max level will be 80.
Not sure what the best way of leveling alts at the moment is. I guess it’s Remix, and not normal Retail mode. Maybe that’s why queue times in normal Retail are high: because people leveling alts are doing it in Remix.
It’s worth leveling to 70 so you can jump straight into the new expansion after release.
If there are no groups for dungeons then mining, herbalism and archeology give good exp. The Darnassus cooking and fishing dailies also give good exp, are easy to complete and if you do them every day until release, you’ll reach 70.
I’ve heard world quests in WoD with Chrimie are quick to level until 60.
Time walking dungeons are also good for leveling and the queues are short because it is 1 week event. This month it is from 16th until 23rd July.

you’re prob right about remix. find it funny that after 140 minutes queuing as tank for bfa dungeon, i chromies to wotlk, and after queuing 5 minutes, i was told not enough people in queue, and offered to join other dungeons, and then after a further 10 mins got into a bfa dungeon. lol
Make your batch of alts, just hit 70 don’t bother gearing, and have them ready for TWW – they’ll be treated like Boosted characters automatically getting gear once Remix is over.
I’m gonna be real; it will be faster to delete those lvl 50 characters and remake them on Remix, because going from 10 to 70 on Remix is still faster than going 50-70 via retail leveling.
The best expansion to level via duangeons is Cataclysm.
It is the best option because Classic dungeons are also included when leveling with Cataclysm Chromie Time, because Cataclysm engoble both the level 1-60 zones and 80-85 zones.
That means you have access to more dungeons that in any other expansion. You should be able to level up one character to level 60 by completing only half of the dungeons available, and probably you won’t repeat a single dungeon.
I have always found classic dungeons the best and then sometimes it switches between TBC and WotLK. If timewalking is up and you are the eligible level for that expansion (usually 30-45) spam those, they give an amazing amount of XP and are really good for the 60-70 grind too.
That’s because all them DPS are also signing up as Tanks and Healers so there’s no shortage of people applying for them roles as they’re incredibly irrelevant.
In TWW it will make DF scale like all the other expansions for levelling. AdF is also set to become the default levelling zine taking over from BfA.
Its generally a lot quieter in WoW atm, late on in the final season. That combined with the fast levelling in Remix is probably contributing to slow queues for levelling dungeons.
Remix characters are stuck in that mode until the event ends.
If you have a long queue time it should automatically open up other expansion dungeons, if you are below 60.
