Hello guys, which expansion was the best for you? Why it was the best? What kind of things makes it best? If you could sort the expansions from the best to the worst, how would that be?
Mists of Pandaria for top tier class design.
WOTLK for lore/immersion.
WoD for PvP gearing/alt friendliness.
Cataclysm for good class design & introducing transmog.
Didnāt play Vanilla/TBC.
Legion & BFA are complete and utter garbage just because of the pruning & overall dumbing down of class design.
I couldnāt care less about content & good raids in a game where I donāt enjoy playing my character in the first place.

The Burning Crusade. It just had lot to do, we got belfs and draenei, jewelcrafting, flying. That amazing feel when walking trough dark portal first time and arriving to hellfire peninsula. Felreavers. Nothing ever felt so scary after those.
If i had to put expansions from best to worst it would probably go like:

yes, in that order. Bfa is better than TBC because of warmode. Other than this they both are not my cup of tea.
WoD because it was the expansion that got me really into WoW.
I made my first character back in 2010 just before cata released but I never really enjoyed the game so played for a bit then left for about a year, came back for a month or so then left till 2015 when I got an email from blizzard and some free game time, had a little baby who was just at the point of sleeping for a few hours in the evening so I bought WoD and fell in love with WoW.
Loved ashran and it was the only wow content I was better at than my hubby.
I think if Iād come back earlier though Iād probably have found MoP my favourite, I love levelling there now and wish Iād experienced it at the time.
My list from best to worst would be:
WoD
MoP
BfA (yeah I know but I enjoy it)
Legion
Cata
Wrath
TBC
NB Iāve only played WoD, legion and BfA as current expansions but Iām basing others on enjoyment on levelling now even though they may have been good when new
The one where everyone hated at the time but now think they loved itā¦

Donāt mix morons who disliked MOP because of pandas with those who genuinely enjoyed the game for what it had to offer. Those are two distinct crowds.

MoP was risen to ālikeā status just mid BfA as some sort of new discovery. One of the worst thing what they could do is bring back āclass things from moPā especially in PvE raids. And Timeless isle formatā¦ worst thing wow ever could have hadā¦ since we still suffer the consequences.

WOTLK. Why? Questing, Hero Class, Zones, Raids.
Quit at the start of Cata came back in Legion.
I liked Legion to be honest. Artifact weapons were interesting, raids were enjoyable (Emerald Nightmare is an exemption thought).
Bfa? Mid.
cataclysm - first expansion I really played, and wasnt on big rate server, met my group and friends, had a lot of fun, game was still gimicky, had class designs, hit rating
it wasnt game about three buttons

tbc for me. simply because it was when i started and also the expansion i played the most.
after that wrarth for story and look of the zones. i liked the āvikingerā theme a lot too.
cata, thou i didnāt like some of the changes to classes and the rework of the world, it was a good expansion imo.
the others are hard to rate for me since i played them for a limited time or skipped them all together.
still there were always things i liked and disliked in every expansion.

TBC and vanilla were good when they came out, but they wouldnāt make the cut today. WoW Classic did good only because of nostalgia and I reckon TBC would also fare quite well for the same reason if it were to be released.

You dont have a clue what are you talking about. MoP class design was far better than Legion and BfA class design. It is not a streamer thing or mid BfA thing. People who played both will say that MoP class design was better, majority of them will.
Youāre right, except for the part where youāre not.
People have been asking for MoP back ever since they started pruning, which means: in WoD. Even more so in Legion.

I played tbc > cata. I never played Vanilla I donāt play it for nostalgia, I play it because itās fun. Current WoW doesnāt interest me at all
Thatās what you believe. If you like 2 button PvE rotation and broken tanks in PvE. keep asking that; and have 0 content zones like Timeless isle. keep asking that too. It was afterall such fun, right!
