Anyone know? What’s the ratio? thanks

No one really knows. The last time I looked at the estimates on the web; retail had two times as many players and it was down to just over 1 million active players.

Only Blizzard knows but i expect retail have 4x times more players than classic.

Classic carried blizzard hard as seen by earnings call.

But right now they are equally dead in relation do where they have been - and could be.

It probably goes Retail>TBC Classic>Classic, when it comes to numbers.
Certainly Retail is the busier of the three, though this may be because I play on an RP realm.

However, the actual answer is.

Nobody knows. No. Not any third party website. No, not a Streamer, No, Sacrificing a black rooster at a crossroads at midnight will not give you the answer, and no, a bloke called Dave down the pub with a dog on a rope won’t know either.

Nobody actually knows.

i would think retail… but not a lot play retail either.

just TBC classic was a failure compared to classic vanilla.

It’s unknown.

SL is in a bad spot but BCC is far less popular than Classic was.

It would stand to reason that SL has more players merely due to the fact that it’s much easier to get started & more in line with the modern MMO designs.

Still Classics success is a testament that the old design still has an audience.

If you’re talking about mmo population then that website is the textbook definition of unreliable.

If you need any proof just look at how they predict New world having 4 times more daily players than the actual, publicly available number.

They use Reddit hype to evaluate player count which is a fundamentally flawed approach.

Classic era is DEAD big time , TBC and SL is declining but SL probs have the most players.

You guys think TBC classic is in decline/dying? Shame I’m really enjoying it
