Which healer?

Priest, paladin or druid?

Which healer would I kill first? Paladin, since they’re the best healers in the game.

Thought they’d bubble and hearthstone

I generally don’t fight healers in Wpvp

I play holy paladin for pve content, i dont pvp. Was quite difficult to get used to as you almost exclusively stand still and hard cast except for one insta heal on a cooldown and a HoT if glyphed. But you have some pretty strong CDs. Since hitting lvl 72 and getting my mana regen CD i don’t think i have ever ran out of mana in a dungeon.

Paladin is about 21% of my server. Pretty high competition for raid slots.

Almost every priest is disc, which is awful cause disc is a 1-of in raids (it’s literally the only healer that you actually go “we can’t take more than one”). Holy priests are relatively rare but strong, if complicated.

Druid are great too - and get better with time. I haven’t seen many druid healers tbh - we have 1.

All healers are needed and have their spot in the raid.

Just play what you enjoy. I personally love both priest and Druid but I usually go with priest because I feel more confident in PvP and I tend to get bored of being in tree form all the time.

Yeah, got my priest to level 12 and my druid to 21, kind of enjoying priest right now, wand is fun lol.

Unholy DK healer of course

Paladin for sure

Sad shaman noise
Easy to stuff, low compétition trinket, castor mail is basically HR on 10 man
Can heal a tank or a raid (with slight glyph change to do better)
Cool off stuff if no hunter
BL is an entry ticket to a lot of place

Chain is bit spammy but the nice gameplay is in the détails

Paladin is the best healer in WOTLK, pve and pvp wise.

IMO Paladin are the best tank healers in the game hands down. Rdruids are the best Raidhealers.

Shamans are good raidhealers too and bring heroism/bloodlust.

Every healer has their playstyle and ‘role’. I’ll try to describe the ones you asked about.

Priest: my main (as you can see) so the one I know most about. Of the two specs - Holy and Disc - Disc is currently the one most priests healers play. Their role is not to top up but to prevent damage with their shields. It makes for a fun playstyle where you try to ‘beat’ the mechanics by shielding the right targets before they take damage, making it easier for the other heals - or taking their job away, depends how you wanna look at it  Only downside is that every raid group only needs one. I could go deeper but thats just a smaller description

Holy Priests is an aoe heal machine, and offers a unique mechanic in the form of guardian spirit, preventing the tank from a killing blow. Not as much needed atm since the content is so easy and it might be hard to plan ahead to use this ability, since if you could predict a death there’s other stuff you can do. All the other stuff they can do, other healers can do as well and maybe even better. Still a good healer though.

Holy pala is the king of tankhealing and splashhealing. They are also easiest to play imo. Just Beacon of Light on one of the tanks and flash/shock/HL the rest. Using Judgement of Light gives you a lot of passive healing from your team just hitting the boss. On fights like Patchwerk they shine (pun intended). Pala’s are purely reactive healers, meaning: players take damage, you heal em up.

Druid I know not that much about but they are all about hots. Imo they are hardest to play because if you just hot up the raid and no damage occurs you’re wasting mana and cooldowns. Just like the disc priest knowing when your raid is gonna take damage is key in playing resto druid, as their main method of healing is hots.

Hope this helps a bit!

Really digging holy priests

I love holy paladin in wotlk, so many tools to help out the raid.

Oh and we melee weave with judge of wisdom, especially this I find really cool.

You don’t have to melee weave though, since it was changed in wrath that you could use judgement within 30 yds. Melee weaving would be like holy pala in retail: having to melee the boss with crusader strike to generate holy power.

I think what they meant is tendency for Holy Pala to use Judgement of Wisdom alongside Seal of Wisdom and sneak in some melee hits to gain back some mana. Since divine Plea requires some knowledge (so that you don’t stiffle your healing when needed) the extra source of mana lets them stay up longer.

Oh yeah I misunderstood then, my bad.

That said this won’t be a thing if you get raid geared. Pala’s are known for never going oom.

We do weave tho, with SoW active " Fills the Paladin with divine wisdom for 30 min, giving each melee attack a chance to restore 4% of the paladin’s maximum mana"

This means a Hpala judge light, tank/ret judge wisdom, and we melee weave for that 4% mana gain proc, works like a charm with a fast 1h mace.
