I haven’t played on the hardcore servers yet but I but I am eager to start but not sure which type of character I should go with.

Just play what you like, not what everyone else like. A Dwarf Hunter is one suggestion.

If you like Dwarves and Hunters then it’s pretty obvious what you should go for.
One is a race, the other is a class. Class is far more important in game than race so I would suggest hunter. What a coincidence dwarves can be hunters, too.

And they get +5 gun skill. But then again Night Elves get +9 Agility as Hunter. Dwarf 19, NE 28

The lore-based(not really but as we have seen in the first ever cinematic) - dwarf-hunter with a bear just a must-go version
Ofc by minmax reasoning you probably would prefer the NElf but play what you want coz since it HC you most likely never will be in situation where raid minmaxing is a case
I feel theres a misstype here as if u ment to ask about 2 races for ur hunter, as uve listed a class and a race 
Id make a argument for dwarf here as stone skins a good defensive

Orange. Obviously.
Orange doesn’t rhyme with anything. Which makes it automatically a bad choice.
Sporange and Blorenge beg to differ.
If I have to pick between the two, I would choose a hunter.
