Hey, what about Balance druids? I’m trying to find out the best covenant and legendary with videos on Youtube and I can’t figure it out. Can someone help me? Please 
From what I was able to gather, people still seem to be using BoaT and there has been talk of either Venthyr or Kyrian for raiding. NF seems to not be an option anymore. I guess these things could change still, but we’ll see. Maybe grab an Arcanic pulsar legendary, it’s possible this becomes our new BiS.
Problem with NF boomkins is blizz puts all their dps into convoke+CA+BOAT (at the same time). Outside of that they do tank dmg.
So when they destroy that burst window theres not much to do anymore. NF druids ST dps is already around middle of the pack (when checking CN raid logs 1 boss at a time youll see boomkins are middle of the pack or lower on most bosses).
Only thanks to 1 single raid boss with lots of adds the combo of mastery bonus from Niya+ convoke+CA+BOAT would make Starfall do absurd aoe dmg…having boomkinsdo 30-40% more damage than 2nd on list. So for CN summary it would look like NF boomkins are kings.
Now for next tier there most likely wont be another fight like that, and with a 20-25% drop in ST dps they wont be viable at all anymore.
How the other Covenants are for boomkins I dont know, but unless they do a full overhaul of balance I would suggest to play another spec/class…after maining boomkin the last 3 expacs ill be playing feral/guardian in 9.1
Boomkins will still be far better than feral and top 5 dps in the next raid. Don’t kid yourself. NF boomkin may be dead, but boomkin will still be very very good. There are some spread aoe fights that will also favour boomkin, not to mention Stellar Drift will be used on a lot of fights in instead of Stellar Flare even if they are ST because the movement aspect will be a direct dps increase as they are close together as it is and now Stellar Drift got a dps buff. So, any fight with moderate movement, Stellar Drift.
Also, you have very limited melee slots, so as feral, assuming you’re playing in a good progression guild, you will not have a spot as feral offers nothing at all of value in place of other buff classes.
Now, I wish feral would be better than boomkin, cuz I am so bored of playing this spec, but what can you do.
If moonkin DPS nerfed too hard then resto will likely make a return to mythic+ unless feral is given a huge buff. Groups need the rez and guardians need rage for theirs so its often not immediately available.
Why don’t you play feral then ?
Why would I play the weaker spec?
Because you prefer feral and you aren’t a fotm meta slave that plays the best without question ? Maybe ? Or are you ?

sims are fine and the reroll is only relevant for ~2% of the playerbase who is cutting edge

If cutting edge raiders are not willing to play the best spec they are not so edgy I guess. As for the rest: Play what you like as NF is still competitive
Its from the nerf to BOAT legendary. Going down from 40% to 24%. So its more for NF than the other covenants, because of the extremely high crit just as you use convoke. Its not a nerf on the spec itself but the BIS lego that has been essential for NF boommkin dps so far.
Its that combo: BOAT+incarn+convoke giving silly burst dmg…but no more.
