I recall there being some Dalaran Crater Portal that was removed even though it was not lethal but is right now any other shortcut closer than Ironforge for getting into Silverpine for the Love is in the Air affairs?
PS: I am totally expecting to attract Erevien’s ire with that title

Or go to Ironforge, take flying master/regular mount and go make a coffee.
arathi portal from kul tiras? (when available).
Mages still have this, so if you have a mage alt you can group up and use this.
There is a portal to Stratholme that can be unlocked with a Pet Battle dungeon (a little closer than Ironforge but not much).
Portal in Boralas to Arathi Basin but this won’t be there all the time, depends on which faction is in control.
Is Twillight Highlands closer than Ironforge? probably a little.
There are no good solutions that I can think of just slightly better bad solutions.
It’s still here, it’s lethal, and I take every opportunity I can to get people with it. It’s hilarious. Especially since I can go there myself afterwards (using slowfall), rez and port them back out. It is, after all, supposed to be fun.
Which isn’t often, because if it was it would cease being an opportunity ;D

I did not thought that one could use the group finder to give a portal to themselves via their mage.
I will make sure to get the crater portal on my mage

I used this to do an achievement where you had to run with a barrel (or some such) from Kranos (sp? village near Ironforge) up to the Cooking Daily guy in Ironforge in 2 minutes. I’m not great at navigation so I grouped with my mage and used it to create a portal to Ironforge which got me most of the way there with one click.
Better use the Ironforge portal from Boralus.
If it’s up then sure.
Personally I think flying (or soaring) from Dun Morogh is less of a hassle than logging in and out 3 times, but to each their own.
You can try going to Queldanas, and take a flight to the westmost WPL flightpath. That’s the closest I can think of.
Heirloom toys are needed for this if it’s your first time.
If you are a Paladin then your order hall and fly.
