Thing is I want to play Fire mage in PvP but I seem to be better at Arcane in BoD, even though I have Fire gear (not BiS but ok). I want to know which loot spec to choose as I feel most comfortable playing Arcane but I want to get gear for PvP primarily. Thing is, to get the best gear I need to raid to as high a level as I can and so I need gear for whichever spec/s I need for raiding. I mean I don’t mind switching spec to Frost or Fire if they make more sense raiding in general or on certain fights, but like I say, I seem to be best at Arcane at the moment so I’m inclined to go Arcane. Just looking for advice and just to be clear, what I’m really wanting advice about is which loot spec to select, although advice about which spec is best in which context is of course relevant. The latter has been discussed in another of my recent posts though, but I don’t mind hearing more in it here.
Summary:
So yeah I’m not sure at the moment whether to play Arcane but have Fire loot spec, since I want to play Fire in PvP, or to try to get Arcane gear first and then get Fire gear, for example. Problem is if I get Arcane egar first they might keep raising the bar and I might never get back to getting Fire gear for PvP. Likewise if I were to play Frost and get Frost gear before trying to get the Fire gear. This is my dilemma, or trilemma, if you will.
