Wrathion come back pls :’(
Tirion Fordring.
Poor guy died by a stupid raid boss that we later defeated.
Sure we know that now, but before Legion we just assumed he was dead.
Cairne. Duh.
Darkmaster Gandling. He should of had more to his story than just being a “mini villain” in Andorhal and Scholomance

Admiral Taylor pls.
This.
Even with Nazgrim having a decent death scene (IMO, him giving his life for Garry was pretty fitting for his character), why couldn´t they give him something instead of a side questline in Spires of Arak? Seems like the writers had no interest in using him after MoP, but the need to kill him just doesnt feel right with me. I wish they had both characters dying in SoO so their rivarly could’ve ended in a satisfying manner for both sides, but that’s just me. Also Taylor could’ve easily been used for the spot of ‘whatever the admiral is named’ on the 7th Legion warship.

Seems like the writers had no interest in using him after MoP, but the need to kill him just doesnt feel right with me.
Not to mention his ghost was then left behind on draenor in the garrison.
Vol’jin. I don’t have an issue with him dying but the guy took the spotlight, representing for once the lesser races in not just a pivotal role but the de-facto head… and he sits on the throne a bit, gets into one scrap and dies.
All to put Sylvanas on the throne. Not worth the character dying.
Tirion Fordring - I dunno his death just felt like a cheap “this is serious moment” when that was already apparent.
Varian Wrynn - much the same reason. It felt like everybody forgot the gunship… was a GUNship. The heroic leap with the music and everything looked good sure but it didn’t paint the character as particularly… clever?
The last ones made kind of insulting by the fact that Varian got this big cutscene with angelic music and that and Vol’jin… got stabbed then it focused on how great Sylvanas was for saving everyone.
Not bitter.
Trollbane and Nazgrim, Calia
But I wish they were left dead instead
Also
Taylor and Vol’Jin shouldn’t have died, not in such stupid ways
I don’t mind grunts killing “Lords” and “Bosses”, I even prefer it, but wtf
Sheet side-quest or dying just to make place for Blizzard’s bad writing with Sylvanas? No lol
K, while Trollbane is kinda cool as a DK atm, I still think of him like a character that we shouldn’t encounter. Think, the likes of Terenas.
Nazgrim’s death has lost all of its meaning, it’s also a huge F.U. to everyone who used to like him. Ressurection’s turned him from a cool orc into some bsheet DK
Cairne, Tirion, VolJin, hell I even argue Garrosh
Doesn’t matter because anyone previously good would probably have become unrecognizable by now anyway.
Bolvar Fordragon (Not as the LK), Rastakhan, Vol’jin, Admiral Taylor, Cairne and Garrosh - for the simple fact that if you take out the second half of MoP, he was probably one of the better Warchiefs in recent memory.
Kael’thas. In the sense that I wouldn’t mind him being dead, I just want him back alive so he could die off in a manner he deserved. I mean, he was effectively King and had roots back in WC3.
Definitely! It was cool seeing a non-leader npc develop throughout expacs until then, showing up here and then as proof of stuff happening outside of what just your hero char is doing. Real shame.
Garrosh. He was taken from me and the Eastern Kingdoms could not fill the hole he left behind.
Mankrik’s wife.
All the Scourgies, spesh Arthas.
They had their chance. Its time for the new boys to roll on in.
Garithos. Would’ve liked to see how Lordaeron developed with him still alive in WoW’s timeline.
Kael’thas.
