Which tank/dd to choose?

Hey

doing mostly pug runs nhc and hc raids and myth+ up to 10, as tank and dd. No heal.

Also i like doing old Pve Stuff Solo, bit pvp and Open World Solo.

Torn between Pala that was my main from bc on, i like the Armor and Shield Tank, Dk that is in a good spot for tanking but dps seems meh or Dh which i love for Dw and Dps specc, Veng is also fun but way to squishy.

Plz help what class is better for casual pug player as tank/dd 50/50

Really, it depends. It always depends.

First and main question is, what do you enjoy the most? Most people have found tanking not as enjoyable as dps or healing recently, which is why the game needs so many more tanks.

Death Knight and Pala are both fair tanks. DH can have problems with being squishy like you’ve said.
For dps there’s no doubt that havoc is currently strongest, although retri isn’t underpeforming. DK dps isn’t something people seem to not like currently though, most people agree it’s it where it should be.

If you want to both tank & dps, I’d say pala, just tank DK and just dps DH.

what does nhc mean been playing 14 years and cant figure this out :confused:

Some countries/players from certain countries, call it non heroic instead of normal. I’ve mostly found this with German groups (but there are probably others).

I find it odd as Normal, Heroic, Mythic are far easier and more clear descriptions IMO.

I’d stick with the paladin or switch to a warrior. If the paladin has been your main for over a decade, I’d keep playing him. (If you PUG your +10s and want to do it as a DD, the DH would be the best choice among the melee specs that can also tank.)

People started using wrong words to describe dificulties, what the hell is normal mythic? answer: it is known as m0, i suppose nhc mean heroic dungeon or WTF also. New generations are doing everything bad, being toxic and even giving new fcked up names to old things.

Apart from your options, I’d add to the above replies that if you are new to tanking, the easiest tank to play is Guardian druid. While currently the weakest due to poor damage mitigation, it is good enough for pugs and can even do high M+ keys no problem. It has an easy entry and low skill ceiling compared to other tanks, which leaves more room to focus on other tasks. This makes them much more PuG friendly in my opinion.
