I’m not ‘proud’ of anything in WoW. It’s a game. I play it for fun. Not to boost my ego.
Sure, I’m ‘happy’ with plenty of things I’ve obtained, because it makes the game more enjoyable for me on a personal level. But I’m not proud of it.

I managed to snag a tabard of the void from the bmah back in bfa for like 1.7 mil or something, very nice deal, stopped after 3 bids too
i defended Darkshore once, from like 3 hordes ganking low levels
but since they made shading a thing and warmode its hard to help like that anymore
Managed to do the mage tower on a couple of classes back in Legion. BM/sv hunter, ww/brm monk, Outlaw rogue, prot/fury war and feral/guardian druid. Brewmaster took the most attempts when it was recently out and only dungeon/quest gear. Roughly 200 attempts. ww and bm were pretty simple.
I put my sister through university.
Ingame… /shrug
I don’t really assign pride to anything in game. I recently got the infinite timereaver and I was overjoyed because it was so unexpected but… I didn’t really do anything for it.
Achievement wise probably in SL doing normal and half heroic raid with my guild despite my disabilities. I did have to stop because it was making me worse but normal was fun at least and I was in the top DPS at one point. I was pretty chuffed then. Far too much work though, too many migraines.
25k+ wpvp ganks infront of orgrimmar
hunter epic quest was memorable too in vanilla. Too bad they stopped doing epic questlines. Now you collect a few frogs and get an artifact as the hero of azeroth
found a bit of lore saying that ashbringer was lost at sea… ( nat pagle note )
i spent hours fishing thinking i could find ashbringer in the sea…
not my proudest moment, i was young
" … and so that’s where you’ll find the legendary sword of the Scarlet Highlord, Ashbringer.
Ain’t it amazin’ what you run into in an ordinary day of fishin’?"
First time I Defeated KT with a group of friends was really a big thing for the super young me back then I Cherish on that memory forever.
Yes and no. I’m not sure I’m proud of any mount that happened to drop for me (though it would be nice if more did) … but I am proud of the Dragonwrath achievement as I posted above. It was really hard for an average Shadow Priest in quest reward gear to do solo back then. I died a lot and struggled for weeks with some of it. But I kept going and, yes, I was proud when I finally achieved it. Not ego-boosting, but a real challenge.
It’s completely okay and legit you feel that way.
I just can’t share that in any way, shape or form. In such a case as what you described I’d be ‘relieved’, not proud. I’d be glad that that struggle would be over. Because a struggle is not fun imo. A real challenge is not fun imo. It’s just a hurdle on the way to the finish line; that hurdle doesn’t make the journey to the finish line any more meaningful as far as I’m concerned; just longer and more of a hassle.
But hey; it’s awesome you can feel proud of something you’ve accomplished in WoW. I just can’t relate to that at all.
I once had a level 41 neutral pandaren (that was before the squish).
Also in SL, while it was a DH that started in BFA and thus starting at a level equivalent of about 39, I got it to level 45 without leaving Mardum. Then I went and one shot the giant elite infernal you see in that zone because screw the Legion.
I had to think about that for a while.
But I guess that it is not the collectables that I feel the most proud about.
I pride myself in being a fast learner of boss mechanics.
As well as for being patient with less experienced players (unless they are outright malicious ofc)
Ray of sunshine, are you? Ofc you can be proud of something you’ve accomplished in a game. Wow has a very high ceiling and literally the first guy that replied is a perfect example of that.
Ego has nothing to do with it imo, just being proud of yourself is a perfectly human feeling and should have zero negative connotations.
Also a very nice example. I feel the same way about some events that happened with me and my brother ingame.
I prefer: Pragmatic.
I never said you can’t. I said I’m not.
The fact that you interpret it as negative, says more than you than it does about me, honestly. I never put any negativity in there; I explained why I play games.
If you are proud of gaming related things; awesome for you.
PS: Text being what it is, there’s always a subjectivity to interpreting it. If you had heard me speak those words, you might have felt differently about it.
This character name.
Probably an unusual one but making the decision to become a blood elf back in 9.0. Not going into details too much: a friend was in a toxic relationship with our guild and this felt like the best decision at the time as he did follow a few hours later. Within days he was doing so much better, having way more fun. I consider that the best case scenario
Also I am so glad I did it as gear actually feels like it was made for us. Night elves are awesome but gear was not made with their new models in mind.
My PhD in machine learning, I guess ?
I would say probably 2 things - getting into m+ (although im still garbage at it) and grinding out all the mats for Vial of the Sands/Sandstone Drake.
