Which trinkets to PVP?

Hi all,

Im wondering which trinkets are best for PVP ( im talking about trinkets for conquest points - not including these which can be obtained elsewhere)

Right now im using 2 for honor

  1. haste + primary stat increase ( use when y need)
  2. intellect + stun release

For conquest Im not sure what to take for 1st trinket, this one which i can use stats boost when i want have crit instead of haste ( wtf…) which kind of suck, not sure does this which giving haste + random stat boost is better? how often it activate? anyway im guessing it wont be then when i need it most…

2nd one also im not sure - should i go for intellect and stun release when i want or intellect and automatic stun release for each stun which take 5 sec or more? as for mage would be nice to get rid off pressing one button ( release when y want ) but on the other hand is it actually worth? most stuns take 5 sec or more?

What y guys think ?

You can try whatever m8, on wednesday you can earn unlimited conquest points and get all trinkets in one day

The cap is being removed for the rest of the season on reset

you always want medallion unless you are human, so it’s medallion+insignia/badge depending on what you want

spec also matters: as frost i always run insignia but badge is probably better for arcane

It depends, I feel like as frost, if running Basic Blink, you don’t need Medallion at all. Wasted trinket slot, you can blink out of stuns every 13 seconds or so, and have 2 x Block to break any other cc if its crucial to land kills or whatever.
You can go for double damage trinkets / use + proc.

Why would shimmer be better then free trinket on 13 sec cd lol.

asking this really discredits your opinion on anything mage pvp related, but i’ll bite

shimmer can be used while casting and it’s off the global cooldown, which means that you can secure your polymorph/glacial spike/ring of frost casts by making distance to avoid kicks or on targets that move behind a pillar mid-cast. there’s also two charges (plus master of time), which puts you way ahead on kiting melee.

the only time you’d run normal blink is if you know you’re the kill target, get consistently stunned every DR and know you will die in the stuns (sub rogues or maybe assa). you forfeit your ability to kite and go for offensive cc setups though, as normal blink just sucks at that.

There is a reason Ice Floes is also put into the same talent spot as Shimmer. Because they are equally useful. Its just a question of preference. All talents are balanced for a right reason.

Or, dont tell me, you know better then the developers who actually design the class.

Mitchjones plays normal blink - that’s all I need to know. trinket every 13 sec is way better than shimmer will ever be.
Shimmer has way too long CD for it to be useful.
It can be great in super high rating when you can actually rely on your teammates. But in solo shuffle you are pretty much on your own with 2 apes running around you - not playing “blink-removing-stuns” is trolling.

The idea of two dps trinkets is actually decent. Blink + 2 dps trinkets = pew pew
